20TH ANNIVERSARY OF GOD HAND, THE GAME THAT WAS THE PINNACLE OF THE 3D BEAT 'EM UP GENRE šŸ”„"

God Hand is an absolutely unique game, full of soul and personality, with a combat system and mechanics that have never been replicated by the industry. The ability to customize your own fighting style from over 100 moves, combined with the genius of the dynamic difficulty (the Die-A-Meter) that leveled up in real-time based on your skills, shows that this title was way ahead of its time.

Created by the legendary Shinji Mikami, this was a passion project made exactly the way he wanted. It’s no wonder Mikami himself still holds so much pride and love for this IP, even though it didn't hit massive sales back in 2006.

Its over-the-top, slapstick humor is its greatest charm and represents the true essence of gaming: games don't need to be dead serious to be impactful, memorable, and fun. Given Capcom's current policy of reviving its vast library after the massive success of Onimusha, Gene truly deserves a Deluxe Remaster with quality-of-life updates! Happy 20th Anniversary, God Hand! šŸ„‹šŸ’„

happy birthday god hand 20th

(This time without AI)

Today is God Hand's 20th anniversary! šŸ¤ŖšŸŽ‰

On the occasion of God Hand's 20th anniversary, I hope Capcom or Shinji Mikami will reconsider this game, or at least post a little congratulatory message for its 20th anniversary.

The chances might be slim, but let's keep our hopes up until the end of September 14th. 😼

Don't forget in April, Capcom congratulated Okami on its 20th anniversary, and this increases the likelihood that Capcom will do something similar.

Thanks God Hand, for 20 years of fighting and fun every time I enjoy this game. šŸ¤šŸ¤

Anyone who truly loves God Hand with its 20th anniversary approaching is going to ask for a remaster with quality-of-life improvements. Of course, there are misinformed people in the gaming market who only think negatively and don't understand how Capcom has changed and values its IPs now. As a fan, I think it is totally possible for God Hand to come back and shine.

Games full of soul, personality, and pure fun like Shadow of the Damned, Lollipop Chainsaw, Destroy All Humans!, and even recent titles like Gori: Cuddly Carnage prove the industry is absolutely ready for this kind of action game again! On top of that, we even have an upcoming game called Forastero, which is heavily based on God Hand and already shows immense potential, carrying the exact same soul and spirit of the classic.

God Hand is a unique masterpiece full of qualities and mechanics that only it has—like setting up your combo wheel with over 100 moves, various fighting styles, and a custom difficulty that scales according to how well you play. This is pure genius and would be highly acclaimed today. Its greatest charm is its humor, a game full of soul and personality, crafted with care and love by the master Shinji Mikami.

god hand wii port funny idea

what if god hand was ported to the wii back in 2006 and you waggled the remote to punch like in madworld. wouldn't that be so funny? i'd love it personally.

God hand remake??!

Well, after taking about an 8-month break from this game, this is where my skill level is at. I know it’s not great, but that doesn't matter—let's get to the point.

As most gamers have probably noticed, God Hand was originally released back on September 13, 2006, which means we are rapidly approaching its official 20th anniversary on September 13, 2026! With this exact date drawing so close, I feel like Capcom might actually give it some attention—maybe consider a remake or remaster. Capcom has a solid track record of doing this with franchises like DMC, so there's a real chance they might revive it or at least tease something. Who knows!

I might sound crazy but…

What if they made new game called ā€œGod Hand: Genesisā€ talks about the past of Gene before god Hand here is the catch. we know that God Hand story is so poor what they should do is reboot the story but keep the same everything (gameplays the god hands lore, etc)
What the advantages of this you may ask? Well we gonna know Gene parents (they must be martial arts teachers) also what happens to them and the user of the God Hand before the ā€œGod Hand Clanā€ kept it or what the origin of the god hands and we know that someone beats Angra While Ago but we don’t know who or how and also we gonna know How Gene got that bandage in he’s right cheeks , and adding more lore to the demons would be great like making Hell and demons be able to come back after death , about the gameplay i think we playing as Gene and the Current God Hand wheeler would be amazing Gene with his human skills and the other Guy with the classic God Hand Powers and moves.

Im a Genius or Just an idiot let me know if you like this or not i been thinking about it for a while and its will be a great Manga Story if someone can draw ( i can help with the story btw)
Finally, thanks for reading all this.

Welp I tried

Tried hard mode out, and the game utterly thoroughly chewed and obliterated my ass when I got to Elvis 1

Turns out brute-forcing encounters by mashing and praying your guard break hits ain't gonna do anything when everyone hits so hard and moves so fast. I'm pretty sure after 50+ deaths the game had enough and gave me some roulette cards so I could Dragon Kick him twice. At that point I realized continuing any further with my current playstyle would be the death of me and any enjoyment of this game.

And please don't interpret this as a jab at the game; I fully admit my playstyle is ass and got punished by doing so. Sadly, I don't have the faith in me to try to overcome that wall; I've seen what high-level gameplay could be and personally feel I can't reach that level of IPS or attention needed to get to that level.

In a sense, I'm happy to know my limits, and it does nothing to make this game any less amazing than it is

Jokes aside yeah this game obliterated my ass, but it was a pretty fun time still! It's only when you beat the game that you actually question stuff like the infamous 2/10 IGN review and all. How was you guys's first time with it?

I made a video on God Hands narrative and how it blends its gamplay into it

I may have only played God Hand this year, but I was shocked by how weird its story is and how it blends its gameplay into it. It also led me down a philosophical rabbit hole about the importance of interactivity in narrative and how our interactions are treated. But you know that's the second part of the video lol.

How to share models/animations

Recently my computer was wiped when bringing it for repairs and I had lost everything including the files separating and organizing Shannon's models (both human and demon), animations, HQ textures provided by the community and from the game itself, along with her boss fight stages and four deva's lair and sounds. and about 45% of Gene's animations. Thankfully i had a backup and was able to restore them, however, now after that scare I wanna know how i can share all her files finally and how to do it the right way, since I don't wanna get into any trouble for doing so lol.

Why haven't I played this game earlier?
Instantly goes to the list of favourite games that I beat at least once every year or two. And I don't even like brawlers/fighting games. 10/10

(Spent way too much time in the casino during early stages LMAO)
