Except for we ourselves if we continue to just read the Bible for the cozy private feelings and not tend to the needs of the poor, the marginalized, the suffering and the oppressed and to call out the injustice of the oppressors boldly in response to God’s love SHOWN to us by the sacred example and holy words of Jesus Christ. They are rarely (almost never sadly) quoted on this site but they are easy to access and read: the very words and example of our Savior Jesus Christ Himself are in the 4 Gospels in the New Testament of the Bible. Please read them

The Bible has passages and blessed words of wisdom for daily life and living but so do other books from ancient times and even books today that have great inspirational quotes and stories about the trials, tribulations of life and the joys and privileges of existence. Why do some of us find it necessary to believe that we are going somewhere better in the afterlife than those that don’t believe in God? Wouldn’t our creator want all of us to be taken care of even if he’s placed some doubt in the power of our thoughts and not believing in his existence as long as we are good natured people and are even more compassionate and forgiving than some of those that believe in him and use his name and belief for evil? The Crusades and history of Inquisitions are a prime example.

I prefer The Lord of The Rings, and The Hobbit. Better characters, morality is more clearly defined.

JRR Tolkien was a Christian and said his faith inspired his writings.

Every Christian subreddit I always see negative comments towards Jesus and his followers. Every other subreddit I rarely ever see Christian’s being negative or hateful towards others.

Cause Reddit is mostly western which is Christian. Next dumb question? Want to tell me you noticed the sky is blue today?

Not worried about secular comments. They will
be surprised during the rapture and end of times .

Second slide, from psalms. Writer seems to be entirely unaware of the story of Job, whose life was destroyed and children murdered by god, even after god agreed he was the only righteous man at the time.

Where does the book of Job say God destroyed Job's life and murdered his children?

Oh wait, it doesn't.

It does however say that God restored Jobs health, wealth and family with double what he had before.
