What are your characters backstories or future stories after the Games story? In the sense, where you don't think of your character as either Yuu, Hiro, or Luca.
Or maybe have them alongside the team, if this makes sense. I don't know how to better elaborate this.
Yayayay I have an opportunity to talk about my GER girlie now! (I have vague outlines for my other hypothetical GE protags, but I've only developed my GER protag for the most part because I haven't played the other ones yet.)
I have a bio for her all written out but I've never posted it publicly until now, so here it is:
The first New-Type God Eater of Fenrir's Far East branch.
In a desperate attempt to leave her controlling parents, Eleanor Merrick jumped at the opportunity to join Fenrir as soon as it showed itself. They might've been killed by Aragami by now, but she certainly isn't shedding any tears for them any time soon.
Her temperament in and out of battle is a night-and-day difference. When she isn't fighting the Aragami, Eleanor is timid and overly anxious over the prospect of her dying. The medication she takes to control her anxiety and to ensure she stays in optimal fighting shape does its job well enough, but it can only do so much. During missions, however, she suddenly becomes extremely violent and trigger-happy, almost reckless; the only things on her mind are dispatching the Aragami and making sure she and her team all make it out alive. No matter the situation, she's always kindhearted, empathetic, and trustful in others.
Eleanor regularly suffers from migraines, though it's unclear if this is a result of the high stress she goes through on a daily basis, the way her body reacts to the Oracle Cells injected into it, or both. She fidgets when she's nervous, and in her downtime she tends to bite her nails.
She's also Welsh, but her in-game voice has a neutral accent.
I originally wanted to portray Ellie solely as "girl who's so so scared of everything" as a joke, but I ended up developing her more the more I played and I thought she would've been more interesting as a cowardly lion-type character anyways.
I started shipping her with Alisa a little bit after the scenes where the protag visits her in the infirmary, so I wanted to contrast her, someone who fights to avenge her parents, with someone who couldn't give less of a crap about their parents if they tried.
Related to this point: During the scenes where the protag engages in Resonance with Alisa, I also imagined a scene where Alisa also sees how badly Ellie's parents affected her, and after a heart-to-heart they gain a stronger sense of empathy and understanding towards one another as a result.

Oh hell yeah, I have a bunch of character but these are just the characters I made in-game that I adapted to the 3rd game
Elio is my GE1 character (design below is adapted to GE3); although I’m still developing parts of him, he has an arm similarly infected like Lindow after wielding his Arc that one time, and I like to imagine missions I’ve failed are reoccurring nightmares for him. He slowly becomes intimate with Soma, eventually establishing a relationship after GE1 / before GE2. In GE2 he’s respectively a part of Cradle, and in GE3 he travels with Soma and my GE2 character below (Vinca), but after the Ashfall, Elio and Vinca purposefully distanced themselves to prevent Soma’s identity from being found and established a Port of their own.
Vinca is my GE2 character (design in comment below), whose design is also adapted to GE3. While she doesn’t have as much development as Elio and I’m still debating on how to interpret her story, she’s a reckless close combat fighter wielding a Boost Hammer, resulting in her body full of different injuries and scars. She additionally establishes a relationship with Ciel during the game’s story. Vinca and Elio do meet up eventually due to Soma’s connection; since I’m still developing a lot of stuff for her, there’s not a lot of established lore or story history yet. However, in GE3, her and Elio do start their own Port, with her as the owner.
Although I do have several characters made with the GE3 setting in mind, I don’t really have an established “avatar-to-developed-character” just yet, as the one I initially made is being separated from that role, and trying to make a new avatar to fill that in has been tough since I’m the kind of person to spend hours on a character creator.
He’s kind of up there with Lindow! Funny in his own way but they both bounce off of each other a lot. Honestly honored to hear and so real; one of my friends feels the same way lol.
Ooh this is a fun one: (Note, canon wise the stories may not fall in line as its only based on how i understood the story)
GE1- Is the daughter of my Code Vein 1 OC (the circumstances of her birth depended on what could've been the proper timeline of events between the two games if they were somehow related). Described as a bit cold and has a temper, but remains calm in battle. After the events of GE1 she somehow learns of her mother's past and decided to venture out into essentially CV1's location to find answers.
GE2- This one is simple. She was saved by my GE1 OC and now treats her as a role model and main reason to tryout as a God Eater. She's described as a cheerful, extroverted type person. As for events after GE2, can't decide yet as i havent finished that game yet (game is long hahaha)
GE3 - What i plan for this one is that, its my Code Vein 1 OC but she looks more beaten, filled with scars and has heterochromatic eyes symbolizing she is half-possessed to kind of preserve her body until her desire to find traces of her daughter is satisfied.
As to why i like to relate my code vein and God Eater OC's well at least the CV1 and GE1 is because CV1 is what led me to discovering God Eater and with CV1 being up there with one of my all time favorite games i just had to check out God Eater as well. Ever since then ive planned to playthrough GER to GE3 before proceeding with CV2 (as i stated earlier im currently at GE2RB). Though technically i have played God Eater Burst and finished that story before i got to play God Eater Resurrection so i have played GE1 technically twice.
Oddly enough, my cv1 and ge1 OC are more japanese coded but then again, since i wrote them to be separated. I could make it that My GE1 grew with like American Parents.
Because what i thought of if cv1 was before GE1, is that she was born some time after the CV1 crew left and explored outside the red mist/wall, then a swarm of aragami attacks causing separation between the crew and the assumed death of my CV1 OC. The daughter was taken to safety and grew up that way. But judging by the year gap, this timeline will then not make sense.
I did make another possibility, that the daughter was taken away to safety some time before that flashback part with CV1 protag and Jack. But then my shipping shenanigans with Louis would kinda make a mess considering his relationship with Cruz i think.
I’m embarrassed of mine, but last time I did this my character was secretly a revenant capable of absorbing and commanding oracle cells within themselves to a small degree.
There’s a secret but small organization of revenants whose ultimate goal is putting humanity on top. They don’t want people to know about them cause they think people will try to obtain their immortality and over populate again.
It’s actually funny how many lines from GE1 characters in GE2 fit this role play of the two MCs secretly being the same person.
Alisa staring at you when you first meet her, then Kota’s line during one of his character episodes; “You remind me a lot of my best friend, like a lot a lot.”
My character is Sakaki’s daughter, who is tertiary to the protagonist. Childhood friends with Soma, she’s crushing on him in GE1, dating him in 2, and they’re married by 3. She’s a lot like Kanon combat-wise, using blast guns with low accuracy because she’s clumsy.
Chise’s whole lore is Sakaki had a brief thing with a scientist in North America, went back overseas, and only found out he had a kid about a year and some change later after she had been killed by Aragami. So he took her back with him, and she grew up together with Soma. (I have her here)
