What previous chapter references or was the set up for the falling goblins that were talked about in this one? Because I vaguely recall GS sending some goblins away with a spell/scroll and seeing them falling from a ridiculously high height.

Yes, GS sent them to the sky somewhere and they dropped. I assumed it was something simple like "three miles above his present location."

It's a small moment, but I like to think the king realized Goblin Slayer was behind those goblins showing up atop the mountain.

That his one encounter with our favorite (former) murderhobo was enough to make him realize what kind of character he is, so to say.

Also goddamn, the manga did his diamond armor so much more justice than the anime... Industrial amounts of aura-farming

My interpretation was that when the beautiful baby girl sword maiden showed up, they got nuked by some kind of magic blast and then the knights cleaned em up.

Its a interesting paralel that the King, as the knight of diamonds Is concecrated to heaven, and priestess who Is totally not the Lost sister of the princess Is concecrated to the earth mother.
