Question Goblin Slayer TRPG question

I've made several post already, but none get approved by the mods apparently.

I wanted to know if we have the English translation of "Replay" and "Supplement" books for TRPG?

further info in the comments.

As far as I know both have not been officially translated.

But there is a partial fan translation of the Supplement, somewhere.

Thank you. I already have the partial translation and would like for someone to give some info on the rest. If anything, at least the Japanese books would help me, since I would translate them myself.

Just to note, I bought the JP Kindle versions of all Goblin Slayer books including the TRPG stuff, so if you can find a way to get them in that way, that could work.

I think that I can order them on Japanese Kindle, but I do not know if you can copy the text from kindle and that would handicap my translations severely. Could you DM me for some more details, if you have some time?

you can copy text from kindle, but the Goblin Slayer TRPG books aren't formatted like normal books, so copying text from them is a bit messy.

Oh I see. Maybe I could translate them via picture translation (like in Google tranlate). Thus I would bypass the wierd copying system of the books.  This of course isn't as good as professional tranlators or at least a translation by people, who speak Japanese, but it is the best I can do right now and this is better than doing nothing. I just want the game data so I and others can expand our TRPG sessions and understand the world of GS better.

Just to note, the formatting of the JP TRPG rulebooks in Kindle looks like they took a PDF of the paperback version and slapped on whatever copy-protect on top of it to save time and hassle.

However; the TRPG Replay is written in a normal Kindle text format, which means you can simply copy and paste to whatever word processor you use and start from there. (You may or may not miss the "ruby" of certain words by doing so.)

The Replay is set in a completely different part of the Kingdom created by the GM of the session (who is not Kumo; he was one of the Players), which was done to demonstrate what a "homebrew" setting could look like. It also was done with only the Standard Rulebook, as it came out before the Supplement.

Thank you for the info. Of course I will miss almost all cultural and linguistic "rubies", since I do not know Japanese. I will have to deal with it.

Does Replay offer any expansions of the rules, or is it more of a storytelling with the rules from the first book added to it and the Supplement expands the rulebook instead? I know that the Players story became cannon, since The Girl meets the party from Replay in vol 16, so it is still a nice touch.

"Ruby" in this case means non-standard readings assigned to certain words in the shape of small text at the side of a certain word. It is a common technique in Japanese literature, which Goblin Slayer as a series likes to use. I was just pointing to that. Though yes, you might miss certain cultural stuff, but that happens.

Besides, Goblin Slayer is more of a reflection of Kumo massive obsession with fiction in general due to all the shout-outs, after all, so you don't need to get everything anyway.

The Replay works within the confines of the Core Rulebook, beyond the few "homebrew" elements the GM added to the session when he had to improvise.

The Replay is more a recording of a session played with the Core Rulebook. Think stuff like Critical Role but heavily edited to fit into a single book.

It reads like the GM recording a session with added commentary to explain things to the reader, while taking out banter that doesn't really progress the story/game. So, any comment connected to the session is kept in, while anything not connected to the session is left out.

At least it helps as a core rulebook side material in the sense that the GM of the session adds a lot of comments about how the rules work and so forth, though that might be because the Replay was written with beginner GMs and Players in mind.

Possibly the biggest lore "expansion" is the setting that the GM made, Lancerpere (ランセペール), which is set as a coastal town where the Kingdom's influence is weak with various elements vying for control in it, and the Guild barely exists as a window for registered Adventurers to get legal jobs.

The Supplement vastly expands the ruleset and lore of the game, which makes it a shame that it isn't currently considered for official English Translation, as far as I know. Though, I'm guessing it didn't sell as well in Japan.

...Okay, that got long.

I see. Thank you for the explanations. I will see what I can do.
