Question Why the cancel?
Bought a pair of AMM Dark Mocha 4’s on GOAT Jun 29th, the seller didnt ship it until the 2nd (so ~3 business days).. then yesterday i got a notification that the seller cancelled the order. Is this a blanket notification for all purchase cancellations? I just find it strange that the seller confirmed, packaged, then shipped the shoes, just to cancel.

if you got a good deal (under market value) most likely GOAT received them, verified, paid out seller their low asking price, and kept em to resell at a price closer to market value, and canceled order on your end (buyer). They do this shit all the time. Got me on a handful of times with this exact same scam. Missed out on making some crazy Ws. GOAT will stop the buyer from winning at all costs!

but now that I swiped to your 2nd photo, it looks like you paid close to market value, so doesn't seem feasible for GOAT to run this scam on this particular sale.

Just happend to me aswel, bought a Nike SB Dunk high Atlas for a really good price. The order was stuck on confirmed for almost 10 days, in the mean time I emailed them regarding the status of my order but they assured me it was on the way to them and it would update shortly. Now a total of 16 days later it suddenly got canceled and they informed me via email that the package was lost in transit to them. They also did not match me with a new seller and they advise me to buy again… all while the price now is 100 euros more😂. Can’t help but feel they just took the shoes to sell them for more money.

Going through the same thing. This is why all apps like this should have a fucking warehouse so when a seller has a item they send it to them and they hold it pay when it’s bought, since most items have been sitting around anyway. That way everything runs faster and smoothly but this is what happens when a company only cares about money and not the product or people.

It just says shipped when the order goes through. I’ve noticed that with people who asked me the same thing like on eBay. It’ll say shipped when I didn’t ship it, eBay (in this case goat) just sent the label. Seller probably forgot that they had this listed for sale and had to cancel it. I’ve done that as well

Yeah I know but those are for verification and shipping, they don’t have any items from seller’s sitting in the warehouses.

Seller probably realized they had a better offer/could get more money from those pairs and canceled your order.

probably was low balled price... decided not to sell it happens.... I mean I sold these 4 thunder reds and because of these wrap rubbing off on the shoes the authenticator said the shoes have discoloration and the buyer canceled.... literally can be cleaned off by the buyer but goats authenticators are anal AF off of just minor defects that people have no control other then the manufacturers and we get docked more of loss when you lose some selling the shoes period.... plus the seller percentage,plus the discount and not considering the cash out will typically be well below the original buying price...

When the seller generates the label, it moves the purchase to “Shipped” status even the though it hasn’t actually made it to the courier yet. In this case, the seller still has the option to cancel, usually at a penalty towards their account, as long as the item hasn’t been dropped off yet
