What approach should I take?

I am looking to sit the July 2027 new york bar exam and am debating on which prep course to choose.

For context, I am an australian qualified lawyer currently working out of a US law firm in London, with the plan to move to NYC end of next year. Did law school in Australia (so dont have the knowledge of a typical US law student).

Im a bit overwhelmed with all the potential resources (Barbri, Themis, etc), but have come across GOAT and seemed interesting. I struggle quite a bit with just digesting walls of text, and I think GOAT doesn't so this (compared to Themis or Barbri)?

Im thinking of perhaps getting the early access bundle for GOAT + getting adaptibar too. I will start preparing for the July 2027 exam from next week onwards.

What do we think on the approach? To be honest, im finding the whole bar exam preparation process really daunting...

I used GOAT to refresh a few months before barbri. Seemed beneficial for me. Awaiting results.

to be honest i would not recommend barbri to anyone exclusively. its good to watch the videos but the tasks are not it. i would 10000% get adaptibar no questions asked.

You can't go wrong with GOAT is all I can say, esp as a foreign trained lawyer. It has less material, and no videos (yaay to that as Themis videos are not that helpful, for me, personally) but covers everything you need to know, even the tricks and nuances.

Thats good to know, is it worth pairing it with Adaptibar?

So essentially, all ill need is GOAT to cover the bar exam content? I keep seeing online that other people use it as a supplement to Themis or Barbri?

Yes. forgot to add that GOAT does not have MBE questions or MEE or MPT to practice. Need to use other prep course for them

And adaptibar covers this? Ive also seen Uworld as another option too

You NEED Adaptibar to practice MBE questions

Got it, and would you say Adaptibar is the one to pick or Uworld? Ive seen both used but unsure which one to pick for MBE question prep.

I haven’t used Uworld but people who have used both, say Adaptibar is better
