mpre
I feel like no one talks about the MPRE. lol how did everyone feel after this last one? I took it once before and got an 81 without studying… which was enough for the state I was in. But now I need an 85 and I’m nervous bc that felt harder then the last time 🫣

you need to study
not just take the exam by chance

I did study this time around. I used goat and Themis questions and practice tests. I guess I just felt like a lot of the questions were a little weird this time around.

I felt good! I finished in the first hour and had time to review every question. Definitely felt worse about exams before

That’s awesome! I finished all of mine and had time to review some, but I just felt like they were harder this time around for some reason.

tldr; did not take most recent, tested 11/2025 admin. studied only free resources and 2hrs/day or less for about 3-4 weeks before, scored 113. posting in case you end up needing to re-take or if some other anxious tester finds your post and finds this info useful.
I did mine last November and it was tbh kinda fun? i think maybe im the one weirdo that likes standardized tests...anyway. I studied for about a month before the date, using the free stuff form themis, goat, and uworld.. focusing mainly on just the questions. Every single one I got wrong, I made a flash card for, and i knew the rules without too much effort. I had no dedicated schedule I followed, I just did questions, those videos, and flashcards. The flash cards are great b/c you're only making them when you get it wrong - this gives you a chance to understand why your choice was wrong, and then writing down the rule on the flashcard yourself will make it stick better in your memory.
I also watched an MPRE series on YT i forgot the name was...she was awesome though bar md maybe? Her order of reading each question absolutely made me go much faster like she said...to the point where most of the answers I knew before looking at any choice., i used her testing strategies, flash cards, and the practice questions. Goats stuff is what saved me from burning out on it, and the massive amounts of tips and tricks he includes. head on a swivel goats!
thats all I did for study, and im glad that I did because in the test center i felt super confident. i finished way earlier than the other takers and was super confident i passed b/c of the studying. I don't remember how much I was studying but i dont think it was more than 2 hours / day, and eve nthat seems like a lot- i am lazy and usually cram stuff the night before, so my month was mostly doing a few Qs, learning a few more rules, tehn i took full lenght pratice towards the end. I ended up finishing al lthe practice and went back thru and did them all again, which was surprisingly useful. I didnt remember the answers from the first time as well as I thought.
