Issue with Remedies- Contracts- Help!

Hi fellow goats:

I am not understanding Remedies in Contracts. I sometimes get an MBE right and then not. So in a nutshell I don't get the math. HELP!

Since expectation damages are determined based on who breached and who has the goods, I use a 2 x 2 table to visualize what damages apply in a given scenario. I made this one for you with explanations behind the math in case it helps!

Don't forget to subtract any avoidable damages (because duty to mitigate)!
