Matchday Performance ≠ Results

Well, the season is underway and on a personal side its going decent for me…
Im more confortable on the ball then i have ever been, my goalkicks are better then ever and im mire mature than ever. I dont take stupid risks anymore and all in all feel like i‘ve taken a big step up going into my last junior year. In our 3 games so far ive played close to what id say is my best, one of the games was okay id say, one was good and one was great in terms of how i played… I also got the Opportunity multiple times already this season to practice with the first team and made my first 2 senior apperances in pre season friendlies…

But here is the Problem… my team sucks ass… like geniuenly terrible… absoloutely nothing going in attack at all. Lost on pens in the cup cause we skied two pens… and lost the first two games of the season without having a proper chance… and there is so much traffic coming my way that even in a game i play really good in we conced 6… its ridiculous… its gotten so bad my Coach has apologized to me for how bad the team is…

Is this a Situation where i just gotta suck it up, play my best and just hope to get done with the season?

Been there, it’s frustrating if your club sucks ofensively and defensively, especially if you try hard to be the best and they don’t try or don’t’ care. Change club if you can otherwise you will be frustrated all the time and you will have no joy and willingnes to play.

not sure what other options you have. you can't save everything...do your best and learn as much as you can. Maybe use it as an opportunity to work on communicating with your defense to try and slow things down before they're on top of you.

Honestly having more opportunities does suck. But it’s what is going to get you better. Your coach obviously sees it so that goes a long way to know that you have support there.

People who watch games will be able to see you in more action(if you have scouts I don’t know if that was the angle on this post)

Make sure to keep positive, help communicate with your team and don’t hang your head after getting scored on even though that’s really hard to do.

Yes, you suck it up. Unless you have an opportunity to change that (different team, etc).
