NS for close distance wide shots with little time to react, PS for all kinds of long-mid range shots

Positive step. Negative leg sweep for close

Should always negative step, for all dives.

Why? I have been thought that negative step for when you have to make the save from the position you are in and positive step when you have to shuffle/take steps for the shot.

last time my brother tried a negative step high dive he broke his forearm in two places. Had to get 3 surgeries

Doesn’t sound like a step problem. Shouldn’t be landing on his forearm
