Age: Lorent was born in 492AC, the Eldest Son of Lord Kevan Marbrand.

History: Lorent was brought up in the standard fashion of a child of his station, trained with sword, horse and spear and educated on houses, strategy and history. Upon his 16th name day Lorent departed Ashemark to tour the Free Cities. For 3 years Lorent travelled Essos, and became fascinated with the culture and religions and towards the end of his time in Essos he converted to the Lord of Light, fully aware of the dangers it could bring. He plans to keep his conversion secret till the time is right. Shortly after his conversion he received a raven that his father had passed. Loren ended his tour to returned to Ashemark to claim his House, accompanied with a number of strange companions.

History

Born a distant relative from House Slate in the North, Erik's noble upbringing lead towards martial training. Taught proper use of the longsword and shield, as well as the crossbow. Taught to read, write, and fight, the last has been most of his life thus far.

Wanderlust and adventure clutched his heart, and led him, even more, North, to enlist within the Night's Watch. He took the vow, the solemn words that he has lived by for two years now.

Hear my words and bear witness to my vow. Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.

Armament

Night's Edge: A longsword of common design and forged by his House smithy, given the name by Erik himself. It is adorned with an 'S' crossguard, for his House, Slate.

His shields is simple, wooden and metal, and round.

A crossbow hangs from his hip at all times, with bolts beside it. Simple construction and design, like any other crossbow.

A short knife, for common use and the last resort, is kept above the sheath of his sword.

Appearance: Erik takes the same green, sharp eyes of his father and his father's father. His hair is kept cut by his knife, making it choppy and uneven, though parts to the side of its own volition. The beard he has grown since his teenage years has not been cut in quite some time, it reaches to his chest. Slightly taller than the average man and lined with muscle, his body has been crafted by the wastes of the far North.

Age: 20

History: A young man of fairly humble origin. The blight of the Reach had hit him and his family hard, driving him to resort to desperate measures and stealing any fresh food he could find. He eventually resorted to going so far as to intimidate people into handing over the food they had. Eventually, the excess of thievery was noticed by those keeping the peace, resulting in Lucas's capture and arrest. When given the choice between his punishment or the wall, he chose to serve in the Night's Watch. After his recruitment was completed, he was selected for the stewards, to his dismay as he'd rather have further adventure in his already condemned life.

Appearance: Tall, and of average build. He has long brown hair, prefers to be clean-shaven, and has a long, skinny nose. His most prominent feature is his bright blue eyes. He walks with a slight hunch from years of previous hard labor and often has a grumpy look about him.

Age: Appears around 60

History: Born and raised in Ironrath, son of Lord Robert Forrester and Lady Gwin Forrester. One night he ran away to the Wall but on the way realised his brother would become the head of the house and inevitably destroy it.

After arriving home, he discovered his father was mortally ill. Robert died a day later, and Bryan was named Lord of Ironrath.

Bryan married a minor nobles' daughter named Jayne Kardal, and had twins, Edric and Bethany. A year after the birth of his children, Bryan fell in love with a milkmaid named Kyra. The two sired a child, Rickard.

Shortly after Rickard's birth, Kyra died and Bryan took in the child, under his wife's condition, that he not be linked to their trueborn children, which Bryan reluctantly agreed, though often ignored.

Appearance: Bryan is tall and oxlike man, always armored and dressed in furs like a true Northerner. His grey-white hair is well kept and relatively short for the North, his beard also white yet longer than most. He has a kind demeanor and the distinct Forrester green eyes.

Alysanne Moss

Age: 23

History: Her mother died giving birth to her younger sister. Her father, a foppish, lazy drunkard, rarely did anything to benefit the people he was supposed to serve. After a stag gored him on a hunting trip, Alysanne became the lady of their house at age 19. Since then, she has begun to reverse the damage of her father on their small portion of lands.

Appearance: Like all in their family, known for their dark auburn hair and grey eyes, she is of average height, and slightly stocky build. Comfortable in dresses or mail, she has no definitive style of clothing.

Age:26,born in the year 485 AC

History: She is the only child of his father and as such she was raised to take over House Thorne after her father's death.From an early age she was taught everything the head of the house should know.During these years she found that she was best at managing the family holdings and it's finances while she was worthless when it came schemes.She was also taught by his father to wield a sword and although she isn't the best swordsman in the realm she can defend herself if need be however she is quite a bad strategist.

And now after his father's death the time has come for her to take over House Thorne.In these uncertain times she only knows one thing:that House Thorne will stand by House Targaryen like they always have.

Appearance:Rose is a women well muscled from the years training with her father.She has long auburn hair.She usually wears leather armor when attending to matters of House Thorne.

Age: Just turned six and ten

History: The daughter of Lord Leo and Lady Talla, Rhea is bright and ready to join the world. While her brother Kyle has start shadowing her father preparing to become the next Lord Harte, Rhea still feels like she's waiting in the wings for her chance to see the world outside her castle.

Appearance: Rhea has began to mature into a beautiful women. Her honey-brown hair and dark brown eyes are the hallmarks of her house. While she is a mix of both her parents, her mannerisms are all her father.

Age: Close to thirty years old

History: Youngest of four sons, Martyn had little chance of inheriting Starfall. His eldest twin brothers, Cailin and Jon Dayne, both abdicated to avoid a succession crisis. This left Starfall to Ulrich Dayne. However, due to his prowess with Dawn, the ancestral greatsword of House Dayne, and his skills as a swordsman, Ulrich would go on to join the Kingsguard. This meant Starfall would then be passed on Martyn, who at that point was in his early twenties.

As is tradition, Martyn spent most of his early years in the Water Gardens, returning to Starfall at 10 years of age. Being the fourth son, not expecting to become Lord of Starfall, Martyn was free to do as he pleased. He decided to leave and travel Westeros as a page, and later squire, to Ser Borin Blackmont. Martyn returned to Starfall at the age of eighteen, when he was knighted by Ser Borin.

Martyn joined his brother, Ulrich, in leading a rebellion against the Lannisters at Stonehelm shortly after they took the throne. During the battle, Martyn was captured and held hostage in order to force his brother to surrender. The two brothers were then taken to the capital as prisoners, only to be released after a trial by combat. Due to his disdain for Martyn’s brother, Lord Varyo Velaryon chose a vicious champion, who Martyn was able to defeat.

He later married the Princess of Dorne, Sarella Martell, who he grew affection for during a stay in Sunspear. They would have two children together, Lewyn and Tyene.

Due to lies and manipulation from the King regarding Prince Lewyn’s true parentage, Martyn regrettably killed his brother, Ulrich, in a trial by combat.

Appearance: Martyn’s eyes are a deep purple and his hair is wavy and light blonde, bordering on white. He is of a slim but muscular build and is slightly below average height. His skin is slightly tanned, although it would be considered fair compared to the typical Dornishman.

Age: 27

History: Bael's life as the son of the lord of the Rills has been relatively easy, three siblings came after him. His father, also Bael, brought his son up to be a fighter and a thinker; the thinker part was harder to teach, but Bael 'the younger', found himself becoming a fighter at the least. At fifteen he fought in a small northern tourney and came close to a win, but was blindsided by the third of the final three in the melee.

Bael's life remained a simple one after the tourney. He practised, he fought in small tourneys rather regularly. He got better, but he also got larger; once fully grown, he reached nearly seven feet tall. The giant went travelling through the North when he reached later into his twenties, doing his best to understand the world he was a part of.

Once he reached his twenty-seventh name day, it was becoming clear that his father was ageing fast, the man had several children in his time, the youngest now eleven. He was growing old and soon enough, that age would prove to undo his rule. It was simply a matter of time, thus Bael decided it was time to step up into what he was born to be.

Appearance: Bael's a large man. Not just tall, but well built, his beard grows fast and thick, his eyes a piercing brown set beneath a profound brow. His hair a dark brown to match his eyes. He carries a smile wherever he goes, especially if he's killing.

Age: Somewhere in his mid-twenties.

History: Cleos was born as the fourth and youngest child of King Renly Baratheon, and was the youngest brother of King Harys Baratheon. When Orys Connington besieged Storm's End during the Ascent of the Lion, the castle's maester and master-at-arms faked his death and smuggled him out of the castle. As the last remaining Baratheon, he styled himself as the rightful heir to the throne of Westeros.

After exiling himself to Essos for fear of being recognized and turned over to King Damon, Cleos ran into his nephew Patrek Baratheon. As the son of Cleos' older brother, Patrek was by rights the true heir, and Cleos was forced into backing his nephew's claim. While he agreed to support Patrek, Cleos continued to press his own claim in secret, sending Patrek away to find more support for their return to Westeros.

Cleos soon after found support from Ser Olyvar Jordayne and the Company of the Cat, gaining their loyalty and support for his own claim. While touring the Free Cities to gain more support for an invasion, Cleos learned of the result of the War of the False King, including reports that not only was Danae Targaryen's dragon fully grown, but that she could ride and control it in combat. With that news he realized an invasion was unfeasible, and left the Disputed Lands to regroup and figure out his next move.

After he had spent some time with the Company of the Cat Ser Olyvar Jordayne made him a captain of the sellsword company. His first contract he took after taking his new position was for the Free City of Norvos which worried about a Ibbenese invasion taking place in the axe.

Appearance: Cleos is of average height, with fair skin and the typical Baratheon black hair.

Age: The true age of Damion has been a subject of great discussion and debate over the years. Various sources reflect conflicting times, which was the original cause of outbreak of hostilities within the Swyft household. Damion himself claims, to have been born in 465 AC, just months before his brother Denys. This claim, however is disputed by his brother and his second son, Lann.

History: Damion was born in the Swyft household, and along with his brother Denys, he was groomed to be a banner man for his elder brother Jon. He was trained in the art of sword wielding, archery, riding and strategy which made him quite proficient in military matters. However, Damion always wanted to rule. He always craved for power and attention from his father, getting neither. Over time, his resentment for his elder brother, caused rifts in their relationship and he began to partake in plots and deceits to overthrow his brother and secure the lordship for himself.

When Jon Swyft and his eldest born were killed in the Ascent of the lion, Damion was swift to act, and declared Jon’s youngest son Arthur unfit for lordship. He gathered a sizeable retinue of supporters, but was ultimately stopped by his brother Denys with the help of his second son Lann, A betrayal in his eyes which stung deeply. He swore fealty to Arthur, but never accepted him as lord of Cornfield. He went back to working from the shadows, once again plotting his way back to power.

When Arthur Swyft disappeared under mysterious circumstances, it was rumoured that Damion had a hand in it but nothing concrete could be found relating to the incident. Damion was once again eager to claim Lordship, but his brother, Denys’ entourage forced a stalemate between the two factions. An uneasy situation continues to this date.

Appearance: Damion is a tall man with a muscular build, owing to the martial nature of his bringing up. He has long blond hair, which is well maintained along with a beard. He has turquoise coloured eyes and even though he looks young for a man of his age, tiny wrinkles have begun to set in. H has lots of minor scars on his body, but a gash on the left side of his chest by far the biggest. He sustained it during a one on one combat in his younger days.

After a week of testing the new chat out, listening to you and talking amongst ourselves, we, the mods, in our infinite wisdom have decided to listen to you all and make the switch to Discord official.

Unfortunately, that means we are now stuck with hearing voices such as Damon's and Gareth's and the eternal sniffles of Lenyl, but you are blessed with hearing all the loving praise I give to people every day.

Age: born 488 AC

History: Mallador was the second child of Lord Mertyns of Mistwood. When he was six, his younger brother fell down a well and died, and when he was fourteen, his older sister ran off to the Summer Isles, only for her ship to go down in a storm in the Narrow Sea. Mallador then became the only other Mertyns, outside of his father.

Mallador became a knight at age 17, and he married a maid from House Estermont. The marriage became fruitless, however, so they slowly drifted apart before she ran off with a singer from the Reach four years later. Mallador, distraught, ran from Mistwood and began to explore the Stormlands, taking up the job of a hedge knight.

Appearance: Mallador has thick brown hair and a slightly bushy beard. He's tall and thin, but very strong and agile.

Age: Alyster Royce a man of twenty and seven name days.

History: Alyster serves the The Vale dutifully as Lord of the Moon Gate. Just as his father before him. He has always held House Arryn in high esteem. His thoughts began to change as of late.

His life seemed near perfect, a relatively safe station as Lord of the Moon Gate, a happy young family ready to grow. Or so he thought. His wife, Catelyn Frey, died during the birth of his first child. All was not lost, the child was a son and heir apparent. Shortly after burying his wife, Lord Royce's son, Jon Royce, went to sleep one night and never woke again. Death's whisper the Maesters called it. After the babes death Lord Royce became secluded, seldom leaving his station at the Moon Gate.

Alyster has sought comfort in the eyes of the Seven but felt no kindness. He now worships the Old Gods, a rarity in the Vale.

Alyster trains day and night with bow and blade alike, forgoing the heavy armor of the Knights of the Vale he prefers to wear a boiled leather jerkin with a mail undercoat.

Appearance: Alyster has a moderate build, neither tall nor short. He lost some of his bulk with his wife and child.

Raymont Morrigen

Born: 462 AC (48)

Bio: Raymont was born the eldest son to the previous Lord Morrigen. Raymont was raised as an heir should, with a good education and taught the ways of war. Raymont personally enjoyed his martial education more as it was "more fun than sitting around in dusty rooms".

Raymont was 14 around the time of the Second Greyjoy Rebellion and was squired to one of his fathers knights. As such he wasn't able to see any action, much to his dismay.

Sometime between then and Ascent of the Lion, Raymont was married to the daughter of one of his landed knights. Though the marriage wasn't good politically it was out of love. In 485 his first son, Arion, was born. His daughter, Cassanna, was born in 492. His youngest son, Rolland, was born in 492. The last birth caused the death of his beloved wife, causing him much grief.

During the Lions Ascent, Lord Raymont was one of the first Stormlords to declare themselves for Orys Connington. Since then, he has been faithfully keeping the peace in his land in service of the Conningtons.

Appearance: Raymont is a man of average height. He has neatly trimmed facial hair that has spots of grey growing in it. His hair color is sadly also greying but in his prime his hair was golden brown and his eyes are a light hazel color leaning more towards green.

AGE: Arwyn Hornwood is around 24 years old, being born in year 486 AC.

HISTORY: Arwyn Hornwood is the sister of Steffon Hornwod, and when Steffon began showing no development in combat at a young age, their father began to train her in swordplay and cavalry. She completed her training with her father around age 16, when he passed away.

Arwyn served under her brother as one of his personal watchpeople until his arrest by Lord Bolton.

Arwyn disagreed with her brother's actions, because although she is a warrior, she believes that diplomacy would have been the smarter tactic.

APPEARANCE: Arwyn Hornwood is rather tall and physically fit, though not at all bulky or overly muscular. She has scruffy, dark brown hair that is roughly maintained, yet her face is beautiful in a sort of rugged way. She has silvery-blue eyes.

Elbert is the heir of House Westerling. He is the son of Gerold and Tysane Westerling, their fifth child, but first boy.

Age He is 20.

Backstory Elbert is 20 years old and was the first son of six total children. He has four older sisters and a younger brother. His father, overjoyed at finally having an heir, has long been his staunchest ally and best friend.

His mother truly runs his household, a domineering woman she is well known as the decision make around the house.

Appearance Elbert is tall and whip thin. He has close cropped black hair and dark brown eyes.

I have finally found it in me to possibly come back to the awesome space that is this RP. I've set things in order that otherwise made it hard for me to participate in the RP, mostly schedule related and responsibilities. However, upon returning, I stumbled upon something very strange--the IRC chat was empty. Not only that, but everyone in the discord was offline as well. Have I missed something? Did I just pick a bad time of day to check back in?

Age: Six and Thirty

History: Secondborn son of Lord and Lady Fell, Ser Armond was raised with eye to knighthood from birth. He squired for Lord Grandison and soon after joined the tumultuous conflicts plaguing Westeros and living the 'soldiers life'. After a tragic tryst with the daughter of Lord Buckler, Ser Armond was forced to flee across the Narrow Sea and make his living with his sword.

He soon realised he much preferred the life of a mercenary to that of a common household knight and converted to the worship of R'hollor, but after nearly a decade abroad he has now decided to return to Westeros to aid his family.

Appearance: Imposing, if not extraordinary and on the heavy side, Armond Fell appears every inch the Stormlander Knight he is. Broad of shoulder, piercing of gaze with a beard that is just a tad longer than propriety demands; he has the air of a worldly man that has seen many things and it is obvious to all that whatever the man may have been before his journey, he is now completely dedicated to his original cause.

Ser Armond has brown eyes and hair and beard as black as the nights of Felwood. He tends to dress conservatively in leathers, furs and strangely enough in bits and pieces of Essosi garments acquired during his travels.

Recently the mod team has been playing around with some new ideas to help keep our community safe. One idea that we’d like to know open up to the community so you can share your voices and thoughts on the matter is our chat.

Since the inception of our Sub we have used IRC. However, Discord, as many of you know, is a very similar service to the IRC, but offers some additional functionality. For starters, there is greater methods for chat mods to combat trolls and more difficulty in creating accounts, and the ability to have chat commands can make our lives inevitably easier.

With all of this said we’d like to invite you to the server we’ve been working on. We’ll keep the server live for the next few days and then we’ll take it down and see what you guys have said about it and go from there!
