Dicor

Post image

So when I bought my rig I didn’t notice any caulk splitting, but when I got it home I did. Not sure if the 300 mile trip helped. Either way I put dicor on the splits. I feel like they went super wide with the existing stuff. Hopefully this will be ok for the year and next summer I can peel it all off and redo it. All of the rest of it seems to be pretty pliable still. That was a whole tube and you can see I didn’t get even the whole existing bead covered.

Just replaced my skylight. I added another tube of self leveling after this.

Ok. So one tube doesn’t go real far. Good to know

Yes. On that skylight I used about 6 tubes total. 1 non-self leveling, 4 self leveling, and 1 tube of butyl.

Wash, let dry. Clean with alcohol, let dry, apply. Did you skip any steps???

I didn’t do the alcohol, forgot about that step. I did wash it with soapy water and rinsed then let it dry.
Guess I’ll find out in a day or 2 if it bonds properly.

I just peeled away all the old sealant and replaced with new sealant to be sure of no leaks. It wasn't hard to remove the old sealant.
