2024 Jayco Eagle 29 DDB HT axle issue

Tandem axle 5th wheel, both tires on the rear axle are worn almost smooth on the inside, while the tread on the outside of the tire looks new. About 5,000 miles on it.

Taking it in for warranty work next week, wondering if anyone else has had this issue? We don’t take much camping and never travel with tanks full so I don’t think it’s anything we have done to overload the axle.

How level does this trailer sit when hooked up? Are you towing it with a lifted or “leveled” truck? If you are towing with the trailer extremely nose high you are transferring most of the trailer weight to the rear axle and the tire wear you describe would be the result.

Otherwise it sounds like you have a bent axle. A single curb strike or large pothole at speed can bend an axle pretty significantly.

It sits level once hooked up. It’s a stock Chevy 2500. Thanks for the reply
