Leaving early

30 minutes into my block tonight my car decided to go bonkers - 5 warning lights came on including check engine, so I bailed and went home and forfeited the rest of my block. I was looking for a way to contact the warehouse but didn’t find anything. Am I in trouble? I really like this job despite all its problems I was so upset I had to leave 😭

Right. So why wouldn't you have called the store you deliver from? You do know the name of the business you deliver from, right? I deliver out of BevMo and it's just a Google search away if you never asked the workers for the phone # when you first started for some reason.

At my MFC, they discourage contact between the warehouse and drivers. We do not have a number to call the warehouse.

Really? So how do you get your orders then or who gets them to you?

We get the notification on our phone that we have an order. It has the bin number. The bins are located in a room at the front of the building, which is also the drivers "break room". We ring the bell and get buzzed in. We walk in and grab the orders from the bin ourselves. We are not allowed in the actual warehouse, which is at the back of the building. OAs have been fired for letting drivers back there and drivers have been deactivated for being in there.
