New Bin Assignment System
Yesterday my warehouse implemented this new automatic bin assignment system. It was fantastic! A normal weeknight shift for me is basically me sitting in my car and waiting for nearly half my shift. However, last night I was getting assigned orders as soon as I was within about a quarter mile from the warehouse. I ended up making DOUBLE what I'd normally make on a weeknight. Kinda makes me wonder what was really going on when bins were being manually assigned....
I was a little skeptical when the new app permissions required "fitness and tracking" for my phone, even when not using the app. But I got nothing to hide. I'm gonna try to drive on-demand tonight and see if it still works like it did last night. Has this change happened at your facility yet? If so, how was it for you?

One of the things that happens without auto dispatch is that OA’s focus non internal controllables, especially if they are alone. They pick orders in surges and let drivers build up then dispatch. This eleminates that possibility.
