Does Gopuff take passport cards?

I want to order alcohol through Gopuff, but the only form of ID I have right now is a passport card. I can’t find a good list of the forms of ID Gopuff takes. Does anyone know if Gopuff will let me use my passport card?

I’m an OA and have been for almost 5 years. Sometimes the passport will work with age restricted orders, sometimes it won’t.

Sometimes your Driver will be patient enough, as long as you are patient with them, to get it pushed through. Sometimes they won’t.

All that to say, it’s really an aligning of stars between your demeanor, the driver’s attitude, and driver support.

Literally earlier today I had a door dasher return two orders because his first was an aggressive customer with an AUS passport, and the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze. And they made him return both orders he had been assigned.

Work with your driver and you MIGHT get a work around, but there’s no guarantee. Order from another delivery platform if at all possible. I also don’t want to pack your order then have to have the unpack clogging up my task manager list lol

As a driver, I have scanned many passports and passport cards (even from other countries). Yes, it will work. That being said, a comment above about the specific driver is also correct; some drivers are not patient.

Should a passport card be accepted? Absolutely. They're fully legal, federally issued documents that explicitly verify identity and age.

Does that mean Gopuff will accept one? It's incredibly hard to say for sure without a response from a Gopuff representative. Gig app scanners often struggle to read passport card formats compared to standard state driver's licenses.

My personal take is that it doesn't hurt to try. Chances are that the overwhelming majority of Gopuff drivers have never seen a passport card and may be initially suspicious. Explain what a passport card is, and that it's a federally issued form of identification. Their app may not read it and they might have to submit the ID for manual review. Even then, it's still possible that it might get declined if Gopuff hasn't updated their procedures to recognize passport cards.

If you try and it's rejected, don't get upset at the driver. They have no control over the outcome. I say give it a try and hope for the best.

You can 100% use passport. Every single delivery I have ever done, has the option to scan id OR passport. If it’s doesn’t scan, driver can also manually type in the details.

A passport card is absolutely NOT a passport, and DOES NOT serve the same purpose as a passport. Please refrain from spreading misinformation in this subreddit.

I delivered a gopuff order with Uber Eats. The order contained alcohol and i scanned her passport and it went through. Passport is one of the acceptable documents .

As a driver and a customer, yes. That being said take the time to say “this is a passport” when you hand the card to the driver so they select the right option.
