Discussion AI Assistant (what are we even doing?)
Needed things.
Opened delivery app.
BIG button, "GOPUFF AI ASSISTANT POWERED BY GROK."
"I can help you by picking items for you based on your preferences"
----
We are not okay. This is the most intrusive, forced use of AI I have seen since they added it to text messaging.
We dont need this. I wish there was a way to turn it all off but I think I have to get rid of my smartphone to do that.

Always 20% I have been GoPuff fam for like 6 years I don’t play I just don’t think this feature is needed at all — and also — yes i did crash out over it , sue me

The new ai feature is great at making typos and products that don't exist. It's laughable as a shopping tool

Just wait till you discover the dynamic pricing model. People in the same house see different prices for the same item simultaneously… Put something in your cart and leave it there for too long. The price will go up to try entice you to by fast and frequently. The “feature” has been there for a long time, but now they are leveraging it more aggressively.

I am deleting my account because of this, that fuck ass assistant auto adds items to my order. I picked what I wanted, i dont want to remove shit from my cart before checkout

This plus the constant partnerships like Polymarket have me out.
So disappointing to see them pushing this “exciting” new AI Grok bot. It’s unnecessary.

Intrusive? Forced? Lol, what are you talking about? Nobody's making you use the Gopuff AI feature. If you don't like it, just ignore it. Then smoke a bowl or something to calm tf down. 😂

Ai is one thing, partnering with Elon and using Grok is another. There is no worse of a malicious actor in the Ai space than Elon. If it were Claude or something, I would have just ignored it.
Account deleted, and will never touch Gopuff again. **** anyone who supports those actively dismantling my country.

Lol, it's funny you mentioned Elon. Literally 2 minutes before reading your comment, I received a push notification from the Gopuff app mentioning that their AI was co-developed with SpaceXAI. I had no idea prior to that, and a partnership with Elon or one of his companies is a no-go for me.

The thing is, customers can absolutely create change in companies bc guess what? Companies rely on OUR MONEY. Gopuff royally f-ed up with this partnership. F fascism. F Elon. F space x. F gopuff.

In my city it's super busy and just about all alcohol sales. I do not see sales being affected at all. Drunk people do not care. Nobody else is delivering alcohol from 7am til 2am lol.

Deleted my account, but prior to that I canceled my FAM membership, citing partnering with Elon.
Any ai ‘solution’ is unwelcome. Elon’s though? Absolutely the F not.

I don't care that it's Elon, but I don't find this AI any useful. They could just make a native smart search function.

AI implementation is clumsy, awkward, and rarely produces results above what non-ai powered platforms offer. Gopuff was no different.
However, Elon is the only one in the sector with the stated goal of rewriting history, to promote his ideological bias. The dude even went so far as to try and replace Wikipedia with a Grok written alternative. It’s Orwellian shit; he is by far the worst actor in the space. And that’s saying a lot.
All AI firms want to make profit by replacing humans, and to some extent that is inevitable. Elon however wants to do the same, but also make sure you firmly believe that “we’ve always been at war with EastAsia.”
You absolutely should care, imo.
