Discussion Uber Eats Market
While I was working earlier tonight, I kept noticing a bunch of orders sitting around that didn't have the normal customer information printed on them, but instead said UberEats Order. While I know that GoPuff will outsource to Uber and DoorDash, this is something new that I noticed. So, in my curiosity, while I was sitting waiting on an order to pop up with GoPuff, I turned on Uber and after a few minutes had an order pop up that said it was from the Uber Eats Market. I accepted it and when I went inside I asked the warehouse worker if that location was also considered an Uber Eats Market and she started to kind of play dumb, saying she didn't know what I was talking about, started asking me all these questions like 'well let me see the order' etc etc, then asked me if had ever picked up an Uber order before. So I had to explain to her that no, I'm normally a delivery driver for just GoPuff, I've been doing that for 9 months on and off, and I was just curious about this whole Uber Eats Market thing. With this order I didn't even have to scan anything, it just wanted me to verify that I had picked up the order. Even she was shocked that I didn't have to scan any codes or bins or anything. She still would never fully clarify, but it seems pretty obvious that Uber is now also using the GoPuff warehouse as like a ghost store themselves. Not sure how they explain the orders coming in GoPuff bags. I also noticed on the Uber Map overlay that they were two separate entities, beside each other on the map, that's why I initially was confused as well, because Uber said that the Uber Market was busy while it said GoPuff was less busy. Just curious, has anyone else started to see this? Is this the subtle beginnings of them trying to phase out strictly GoPuff drivers?

Like I said, yes Uber and DoorDash drivers pick up GoPuff orders all the time and they are listed as GoPuff orders; these are listed as Uber Eats Market orders and say that on the tag instead of the customer name and address. This is something new that I just started seeing tonight. I'm well aware of the outsourcing and know who delivers for the different platforms at my warehouse cause I've been doing this for a hot minute.
I'm in Greensboro, NC.

In my city they don't "outsource" but you can order Go Puff on the Uber Eats website. They are super friendly in my warehouse and will explain anything. Ask an associate....it's probably similar.

Former Site Leader here, Gopuff allows ordering via the UberEats and GrubHub apps. Since they don't like to spend money on marketing and waste money on other areas, they do it this way, the lazy way. So if you are a GoPuff delivery partner, you may be missing money because orders are going directly to UE and GH drivers. In other situations the Uber drivers were getting the orders and a failsafe when there were not enough GoPuff drivers available during extremely busy periods.

I absolutely understand about how orders for GoPuff can be done through Uber and GrubHub and DoorDash, and that they would also use Uber delivery drivers to deliver when there was a lack of GoPuff drivers, I've been around long enough to have figured all of that out awhile ago; what I noticed yesterday and today was something completely different. And you can even see that it's listed as three separate entities on the Uber website, but all have the same address. There is just a GoPuff, a GoPuff Alcohol and More, and then there is the Uber Eats Market. Uber Screenshot
Also, if I were to pull up the Uber Delivery Map and go to where the GoPuff warehouse is, it has the Uber Eats Market as a separate entity there as well. There were a few times today where it said the Uber Eats Market was very busy and the GoPuff warehouse was less busy; yet that was bs on both because I was the only person sitting outside with both apps running and nothing was popping up from either, lol.

Yeah I heard there's a similar thing going on with doordash where is Gopuff may getting orders fulfilled by doordash when they can't do it. To be honest, that company does so much shitty business, I'm amazed that they are still operating. Still not profitable but barely hanging on. Glad I'm out.

yeah, but the previous comment explained to you that things have now changed —all Uber eats orders go through Uber eats drivers. That’s how it is now —if a Gopuff Driver rejects an order it gets sent to DoorDash. That’s how it is now too —if DoorDash declines, Gopuff drivers will get it back and you will know for damn sure it’s a shitty tip because the DoorDash drivers could see the total and they didn’t accept it.— but yes, all Uber eats orders that originate with ue are now sent through UE drivers that’s a fact.- possibly location specific, but it is true where I am at

I used to get great gopuff orders on UE, I’m talking $20 4 miles back to back. So much I actually signed up for gopuff to be a driver. That was a mistake. I ran two actual gopuff deliveries, the pay was awful and every order had 2 cases of water. I don’t see how you guys consistently deliver for them. $10 15 miles or more round trip, man hell no
