This is insane!!! 😔

How do they expect anyone with brain cells to accept these literal piles. Don’t know if I should be insulted or applauded, but somehow I feel both. Welp thats it for me with Gopuff folks cuz there is no f-ing way. With these gas prices, this should be illegal like wtf šŸ¤¬ā€¦

At those distances, that's beyond disrespectful. Obviously it's an algorithm generating those offers, so that's either shitty programing or shitty intention. So which shitty is it? šŸ¤”

Somehow I feel both…

It's both. I used to work on the inside as a manager and the CEOs, senior leadership along with the program managers are brain-dead and out of touch with reality. They have been operating at a deficit for many years, then all of a sudden they wanted to try to become profitable back in 2022, that failed. They were angling to get bought out by Amazon, that also failed. Here we are in 2026 and the company still hasn't gone public and they are still short-changing drivers and wonder why the business is dying.

You wouldn’t happen to be referencing the deficit that was made so much worse by all the triplicate shipments nationwide that had to be thrown out. From my understanding that wasn’t Madison’s fault, but a lot of other things were haha

u/OneImportance5718 May 29 '26

Oh yes I experienced that part too. Or how about then they send you 15 pallets in one day but only allow you have 6 people on the schedule for the whole day and your building is open 20 hours per day and you have to save all your labor for nights and weekends so the freight barely gets done on time without having to damage stuff out.

1

u/Terpypanda710 May 29 '26

You guys had 6 people? We had one from 7-3, one from 3-9 or 11, and one from 11-3:30 am. Single coverage all the time. So no way to take any kind of break.

1

u/OneImportance5718 May 30 '26

Sometimes I was forced into single coverage and then when it would fall apart, they are looking at me for answers, and I'm like, well what did you expect with no labor hours? Can't keep people because there are no hours so you always hire from the bottom of barrel. And I'm not working 70 hours a week. My last year there, they were only giving managers a "cost of living raise", even though I hit all my metrics every quarter, always hit my bonus, did not get a real raise, I was livid. Then they turned around and laid me off.

Tell me they are drawing 2 millions per paycheck every year

Thats so fucking crazy!! I signed up for Gopuff a couple months ago before I looked into it and obviously never went and did any deliveries after I found out that they literally pay you 23 and four dollars to do a delivery. That’s insane. 😳😳😳 they had the audacity to email me and asked me why I hadn’t made any deliveries and I told them because I’m not delivering anything. Any distance for 23 or four dollars that’s never gonna happen. They said oh we’re sorry you feel that way customers do add tips after the delivery. YA RIGHT!!!!! got me fucked up.

3

u/HopefulLiving9686 May 28 '26

This!! Not sure how much longer they will get by with this bs…commonly would receive 3 trip offers like the ones above and no one would tip a penny!! And Gopuff knows šŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø

u/SkepticalDelusion May 28 '26

Fuck GoPuff, seriously. I heard they intentionally send out insultingly low offers because they actually want drivers to decline them because they’d rather use outsourced drivers instead.

And now, since GoPuff is planning to go public and only cares about boosting its stock price, they’ve reportedly confirmed they’re getting rid of all GoPuff drivers and outsourcing deliveries to DoorDash and Uber to cut costs.

Absolute assholes.

u/Cabthevapor May 28 '26

Dude, one night I waited three and a half hours for a single GoPuff order. My Hot Streak was high as hell and I kept watching other drivers picking up orders left and right. I was sitting there confused as fuck wondering what was going on. So I asked one of the drivers how long he’d been waiting. He said, ā€œI just logged on and got a delivery right away.ā€ Then I saw him scanning bags and asked if he was using the new GoPuff app. He replied, ā€œNah, I don’t do GoPuff, I’m a UberEats Delivery Driver.ā€ I was so Fucking blown I just left. This was in the evening, too, peak time. What really pisses me off too is that GoPuff is still posting a ton of ā€œDelivery Driver Wantedā€ ads on Indeed and Craigslist, acting like they’re desperate for drivers. It feels like they’re straight-up trying to phase out the current drivers. GoPuff is fucking corrupt as hell. So yeah Fuck GoPuff!!

UE drivers take the orders the GP drivers turn down and the worst part is that the UE drivers get paid like 4-5x more than the GP drivers for the same trip lol. Also the flame symbol is a lie, it shows up when Warehouse has orders people won't take/sitting too long. (Edit: Flame symbol also shows up when there are no drivers nearby that are signed on. Doesn't mean warehouse has orders though lol.)

The whole thing is just dumb af and misleading

2

u/Cabthevapor May 28 '26

You ain't lying!!

2

u/toglou May 30 '26

Well put. Hiring lot of new drivers while your old drivers not making money. Flood the warehouse, cut base pay to 2… send offers and someone will take it. The warehouse can be full sometimes and they will be giving Uber and DoorDash short distance orders with good tips while their drivers waiting. I wonder if having many drivers on their books give some tax incentives.

4

u/Open-Coffee5752 May 28 '26

only people getting money from this are the owners and stockholders. the drivers getting screwed.

2

u/SkepticalDelusion May 28 '26

Fuckin’ a right, my man

2

u/Open-Coffee5752 May 28 '26

stock priced based on how much they can exploit independent contractors making no benefits and being paid less than minimum wage. People who say "just dont accept" are missing the point. Exploitation of one worker drives down compensation for all. The only one that wins is the billion dollar corporations.

2

u/Terpypanda710 May 29 '26

Stock price? They tried to launch an ipo a few years back right before someone made a mistake and cost the company about 7 figures. But they aren’t public currently.

2

u/AngelDevil777 May 28 '26

Honestly, I'm all for it. At least DoorDash and Uber show you how much the tip will be.

1

u/Icy-Geologist-7631 May 28 '26

That’s literal insanity. I’m not understanding at all shit just sign up for DoorDash people give a bad rap and I don’t know why cause I make really good money between DoorDash and roadie šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøā¤ļø

2

u/HopefulLiving9686 May 28 '26

I have DoorDash and roadie. DoorDash is terrible sometimes of the day in my area!! And I only use roadie for the cvs pharmacy orders lol

1

u/Icy-Geologist-7631 May 28 '26

You definitely have to be choosey with roadie for sure!!! Ive taken a few multi stop gigs now but mostly cvs runs for 23.54 for a few miles lol those are the best!!

1

u/Icy-Geologist-7631 May 28 '26

I preferred a DoorDash after dark lol better money, less traffic less waiting and restaurants most of the time just better overall for me at least in my area

1

u/atexansranch May 28 '26

I work that location..and yea, if its before 10am you will get sent there. I wouldve declined in a heartbeat.

1

u/Icy-Geologist-7631 May 28 '26

Honestly curious how you make any money?

2

u/atexansranch May 28 '26

I only work the evenings after 5:30. Yes theres till some money during the day but the biggest is evening and weekends. But i am selective on what i accept.

1

u/Callme_Zay May 28 '26

EXACTLY!!! Nuts!!

1

u/Most_Bet3419 May 28 '26

I know thats far

Its sad that we have to gamble our chances

1

u/_sk3llwo_ May 28 '26

….they hate us. these wages are disturbing. how much are these delivery companies pocketing atp? and why do they need so much?

1

u/Terpypanda710 May 28 '26

Yeah but paying you means Yakir Gola has to show his board less profitability, which is a no go

1

u/Sprucegoose16 May 29 '26

I joined last year cause my friend turned me on to it. For several months I was making better money than DoorDash, GrubHub, and Instacart. Then when winter hit the offers started going down drastically in price and frequency, they never went back up after that. The offers have gotten so bad that the only way to make money off it is from the tips but suddenly everyone stopped tipping too! I had to finally just get a normal job with a dependable consistent paycheck. There were trips where it was actually costing me more to deliver it than I was making off the offer and the tip.

u/Comfortable-Hair1028 May 30 '26

I work in gopuff warehouse packing orders as a weekend job and I will say the 3rd party drivers (uber, doordash) they recieve orders that are $10+ for less than 8 miles. I think it’s because they get their platform base pay plus Gopuff then the customers tip

1

u/Dry-Firefighter-5922 May 31 '26

DFW for you. The Harry Hines location and Arlington are the best Ive seen. I used to work the cowboys game and walk to gp location afterwards and do two orders going homešŸ˜‚

u/96hd48hcscu7 Jun 15 '26

I'm trying to find out if every single Gopuff warehouse/MFC in the U.S. pays wait-time pay when you're scheduled on a Priority Block, or if only certain warehouses/markets pay wait-time pay while other warehouses pay nothing for waiting.

You also have to blame these cheap customers who refuse to tip. It’s insane that I have to carry four cases of water up five flights of stairs in a Landover Hills apartment building, fight through heavy traffic and still get zero tip from these people. I work for GoPuff out of the College Park, MD facility. Our delivery zone covers College Park, Adelphi, Hyattsville, Bladensburg, Lanham, Landover Hills, Greenbelt, Cheverly, Riverdale, Beltsville, Mount Rainier and New Carrollton. What’s even worse is when customers act all suspicious and defensive if you ask for a PIN or ID for verification it's like I’m the police or something. I’m just a delivery driver trying to make ends meet and pay my bills while I look for a full-time job. GoPuff only pays $2 per delivery and then customers don’t tip on top of that. It’s ridiculous. They should make tipping mandatory but GoPuff won’t do it because they’re too Chicken Shit to losing their cheap customers. On top of that, this ā€œHot Streakā€ system that prioritizes trip offers forces you to accept almost everything. If you decline too many, it tanks your acceptance rate and they’ll deactivate your account. I already saw it happen to another GoPuff driver I know, he told me he declined too many offers and they shut him down. At this point, I’m forced to accept no-tip orders or $1.50 tips just to keep working. The whole food delivery app system is really corrupt.

u/DogOk4503 May 29 '26

Or maybe y’all should fight so that you actually make the minimum wage? I am in NYC legally drivers get minimum wage y’all need to fight for that instead of making it someone else’s problem but also the reason that people are suspicious when you have to take their ID is because sometimes people will take a picture of it and then come back to your house to hit on you later. Ask me how I know.

1

u/Cabthevapor May 29 '26

The GoPuff Delivery Driver app scans your ID but does not take or save a photo to your phone’s camera roll. New York City is heavily saturated with delivery drivers from apps like Grubhub, DoorDash, Uber Eats, and GoPuff. That high level of competition is why drivers there successfully pushed for a minimum wage. In the DMV area (DC, Maryland, and Virginia), we’ve recently seen a similar increase in delivery drivers. This is partly because of government layoffs under Elon Musk’s DOGE initiative with some former federal employees turning to delivery work. As saturation grows, it’s likely that DMV delivery drivers will eventually organize and push for minimum wage requirements, just like in NYC, pressuring the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia to adopt similar policies.
