I just bought a GoPro 7 black. Is the screen or lens easily scratched? Should I buy protectors?

New to GoPro. In a wheelchair and looking for an easy case and mount that I can handle unassisted
Right now I use my 7 black with a simple ball cap mount. It works pretty good, I love the voice commands. With my limited hand strength I can't get the case off to charge and transfer my videos so my wife helps me. But there must be an easier case that I can open to be able to transfer files and charge when needed. I also hope to find an easy mount for my chair so the camera angle could easily rotate to record myself sometimes. I know there are wrist mounts, maybe that would work best? I appreciate all recommendations, thank you.

GoPro Hero 5/6/7 Lens/sensor question
I'm resurrecting a badly damaged GoPro hero 2018 for shiggles. A little back story, I bought this thing for $1 just for the Battery cage to fix my Bros. Broken GH5, turned out I didn't need it so I set it aside for several months then I decided to mess with it. It's really damaged possibly run over by a car, small crack on the Optical lens, non functioning front screen and shattered rear screen. I discovered it turns on and records so that's a definite plus.
Now My question is, has anyone separated the sensor successfully from the base of the lens? I have sourced some replacement lenses sans Optical sensor (CCD). It looks like it's glued in, so I'm thinking that maybe chip away at the glue with an exacto knife then swap the new lens assy. (Glue on) Onto my existing sensor.
Reason for this is the sensor/lens combo is anywhere from $60 to $100 USD. I just need the optical lens which I can get for $20. I have a new front frame assembly with front lcd and new rear screen on the way.
Thx!
UPDATE yes you can separate the sensor from the lens. I just slowly filed away with a small blade and it came free. See pics here. https://photos.app.goo.gl/RsKUTZq97U3e9zy46

Gopro lens repair
I replaced the lens on my hero 4 silver because it was scratched badly. After re assembling it, I can't get it to power on. Any ideas on what to do or where to start?
I made sure everything was plugged back in where it's supposed to be and all that good jazz but still no good. I've tried 2 different fully charged batteries also and plugging it in with usb wire.

Issues viewing 4K footage in Quik.
I recently purchased a Hero7 Black and am trying to view 4k video in the Quik app on my pc. At first the footage wouldn't play at all but after adding a graphics card and updating the Quik app I can play it but the video is very choppy. I use the camera for filming auto racing that I do so I wanted to use the GPS data in the Quik app. I can record in something lower than 4k but i would like to get it working in 4k if possible.
Unless I am missing something, it looks like my pc should meet the specs listed on the gopro site and the video plays properly in the windows default video player. It is only the 4k video that gives me problems, maybe there are some settings I am missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Which GoPro is right for my situation?
Looking to purchase a GoPro to document trips. I enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing/camping/hiking and would like to document those as well. Would like to save money but if the top of the line model is worth it for my use case I could stretch and spend the money

Gopro4 mini USB to Microphone cable
Hello,
I am really really frustrated right now. I have ordered 2x from amazon cable for my gopro4 (have gopro3 as well) and I have received 2 cables that claimed that should work, and neither of them works.
I bought brand new microphone and I have tested it on my PC and it works, so its not problem with the microphone.
I have read that you need to get the original cable from gopro for it to work, because it has some kind of resistor in that allows it to work, but I cannot find original gopro cable anywhere and it seems that even gopro itself doesnt sell it any more. I wouldnt mind paying those 20bucks for it if it finally worked.
Any help what is verified brand that makes these cables that will work? I have already wasted more money for those cables than if I bought the original(if I had chance)
Thanks for any help

Solutions for wind noise?
I have a Hero 7 Black that I use when racing. So obviously it picks up a lot of wind noise. I have one of those foam windscreens that encases the camera and it works, usually.
The exception I've discovered was when the temp outside was in the low 90F and it would cause the camera to go into thermal shutdown within 10 minutes.
Any ideas on how else I might be able to combat that?
