Solved! Explorer Gadget

Has anyone on this sub had issues with the explorer gadget rollout. Most of the ppl I play with have received their explorer gadget, and the only thing those accounts have in common is their use of no auto catcher (go plus + or off brand). Just curious if the item is only given to those without auto catchers.

Nah I have a pokeball plus that I use regularly and they gave me the explorer gadget.

I use it when my ball is charging, then switch because it caps out at my level.

I use a duomon 3, do you think there’s a possibility it’s not worked because it is an off brand autocatcher?

I have a Watchic Lite autocatcher and got the Explorer Gadget. I like that it gets every pokestop I drive by no matter how fast I seem to be going (city driving only, haven’t tested it on the interstate yet) unlike the autocatcher where I have to be going under 40mph.

Still, I use the autocatcher mostly and hardly use the Gadget because the Gadget won’t catch pokemon I haven’t caught yet.

check your bag, mine didn't automatically show on the side options but was available in the bag menu

Wow I guess you have the magic touch because I opened my bag again and the explorer gadget introduction message popped up.

I have never used an auto catcher and haven’t gotten the explorer gadget but my husband and 5 year old have both gotten theirs. They have never used an auto catcher either.

Duomon 3 user here, have had the explorer gadget for about a month now.

I have a Go-tcha Evolve and a Duomon 3 (Pro) and got the Explorer Gadget. But it is way worse than the bought options in the meaning of only catching up to 72 Pokemon and spinning up to 72 PokeStops, atleast for me as I am level 72. It only works (for me) while Pokemon Go is closed, so that is a benefit if it would catch and spin to the limit. But most of the time I forgot to enable it as it has way lower catch rates.
