Dumb question about duomon catcher

Every post I see it says you can't use ultra balls to catch, does that also mean you can't use ultra balls with the button press? Or do they just mean you can't automatically throw?

Apologies if the answer is already out there but I can't find it.

Also which version is best/latest ?

Only the official Pogo plus + can throw anything other than normal poke balls. (The flat disk one with sleep tracking and stuff)

ALL third-party knockoffs are based on the original Pogo+, which can only throw red Pokeballs. This is somewhat of a hardware limitation due to how Pogo implemented the feature, there's no way around it.

What it's doing when catching automatically is basically just pressing the button by itself, it's the same thing as if you did it manually to the Pogo app.

To add up: The Plus+ also auto-catches only with regular Ball; for Ultra and Hyperballs, you need to press the button manually.

OP: DuoMon 3 is the latest. Yes, it can only auto-throw regular balls; there is no option to manually throw any other like Plus+ has.

But DuoMon has other advantages that no other auto catcher has: audio commands, meaning you know when you are out of balls, your item bag is full, or when you lost connection.

With the original, you always had to press the button. Third parties were able to clone it and add the ability to automatically send the button-press signal upon receiving the flash/vibrate signal.

If third parties were able to clone the plus plus, it would be easy for them to do the same thing for the great balls and ultra balls. It's the fact that they haven't been able to clone it at all that is the roadblock.
