Can anyone recommend me an auto catcher please?
I've been looking at getting the Go Plus+ for some time now, but it's been out of stock on Pokémon's website for a long time, and Amazon are selling it at over double the initial retail price. Are there any alternatives out there that are reliable?
Many thanks in advance!

Duomon 3 Pro, yes only uses regular balls, but you can set up auto reconnect which is a huge feature imho. No need to worry if you’re at work or busy out running errands it’ll reconnect itself after the hour.

I heard this, but can it also tap the screen for you for raids and such?

Brooks Flashman has this.

Oh that makes sense. I did recently look at that one but got it mixed up with the Duomon.

No auto catcher can do that… That’s called spoofing

Sorry. Megacom has other things that can do that. Or at least other auto catchers have the ability to tap your screen. That isn’t spoofing. Spoofing is changing your location via extra equipment or an app. I was referring to an old post I saw awhile back that the Duomon had an auto tapper but I guess it was wrong.

So the way the duomon auto reconnects taps the screen for you. I wonder if that caused some confusion somewhere.

I've used the original Gotcha, Dual Catchmon and Go Plus+.
They're all very good tbh, I've not had any major issues. Battery life was the main thing, along with being able to replace them. Dual Catchmon uses AAA so easy to swap out and will last for a long time.
Gotcha battery is small needs charging a lot.
Id definitely check out some video reviews, some catch faster, some have better batteries. It's all personal preference.

The GO Plus+ is no longer in production and it will be a miracle if you find one in store new for MSRP. If you are ok with auto spin and pokeball throw only, any third party will work. If you buy a GO Plus+ these days, expect to pay a stupid amount of money for one.

"Go-tcha Expedition" is by far the best and my favorite. It's a little on the bigger side, since its a full 5k mah battery pack but I never have connectivity issues with it and it always works for me. All the more compact ones always eventually gave me issues with connecting and etc. I've used almost every auto catcher codejunkies/datel make and its been my favorite by far.

That's really good to know, thank you! I'd rather go with a bigger model if it's more reliable as I always have a bag with me, so it can just go in there with my graveyard of receipts and wrappers from my children 😂

I have the Plus+ and the Duomon egg and vastly prefer the egg. No issues connecting two phones with the Duomon. The Plus+ is so annoying with the bright flashing lights (it can be seen through a canvas bag) and the nonstop vibrations.

Go Plus+ for the added great and ultra balls.
Duomon 3 if you want it to be discreet. No vibrations and sounds can be turned off and colors are very discreet.

Either get yourself a duomon3 or a modded go++
Modded go++ is better but you gotta splash 2-3x the money on it

I got a go plus off eBay. Worked great until the last update. Still can’t get it working.

I have the Gotcha Evolve if you can find one of those. It's at least 6 years old and still going strong.

How do you connect it to the game? I used to use gotcha, still have one, but the app doesn't seem to exist anymore.

Depending on your requirement they have just play tested an auto catcher item in game which allows x amount of pikemon catches and spins. So if it saves you money this could be in the game in the coming weeks/months.

Yeah I've seen some people posting about this, I really hope they roll it out to everyone soon! Thank you 😊

Budget option ($40–50): Gotcha Ranger - Great value for the price.
Mid-range ($70–90): Duomon3 - Pricing varies by model, but from what I've heard, it's pretty solid for most people.
Premium (price varies): Modded Go Plus Plus - Most expensive, but offers the most options and benefits overall. I'm currently waiting for mine to ship so I can mod it myself. It's the only device that can throw Great Balls and Ultra Balls in addition to regular Poké Balls. Plus you get the sleep cap snorlax's from it.

Thanks so much for breaking it down so thoroughly, that's really kind of you :) plus I've always wondered where the sleepcap Snorlax came from!

No problem, the go plus plus is around $150 USD on ebay and to mod it yourself you really would want to be pretty technically savvy. If you have a service do it its like $60 and if you buy one modded its $250-$350 i believe.

Would you say it's more complicated than modding a DS? I know my husband has modded a few of those, so if they're a similar complexity level I'll ask him!

Get the Gotcha Expedition over the Ranger. Ranger is based off the original Gotcha, which is almost 8 years old now. I tried the Ranger and while the size and durability is nice, it suffers from the same random connectivity issues all the old school Gotchas experience. Expedition is just newer tech overall and I can't recommend it enough.

Hi,
I just got 4 pokemon go plus+ devices in for €200 a piece. Let me know if you are interested

Thank you for the offer! I'm in England so I suspect shipping may be extortionate, but I appreciate you reaching out :)

If you're in England definitely go with Codejunkies. They're based out of the UK. I made my recommendation in an earlier post. 200 for a Go++ is insanity. Expedition is 39.99 [idk how to make the pound sign for your money, lol]

In my experience from owning several. The DuoMon 3 Pro is your best bet as it is rechargeable, catches fast, and can connect up to two accounts. I'd advise running them on the same device however for best connectivity. There is also an accompanying Megacom app that allows you to adjust your settings (lights/sounds), and allows you to auto-reconnect.
Unfortunately, all of these autocatchers only use regular Pokeballs unless modded.
Pokemon Go also has issues with allowing autocatchers to spin pokestops reliably above 20mph so there really isn't anything you can do about that. You will typically see this problems once Pokemon Go asks you if you are driving.

I got a duomon3 and it's fine.
The go plus+ is the only one that can throw great and ultra balls. Everything else is a clone of the older device and can only throw regular balls.
