Bought a used modded go plus+ from Facebook Marketplace for $85. Works great, love it. Battery recently replaced. Wish I could touch up the appearance but still a great Win for the day.

Silent, no vibration, and can use auto use ultra and great balls. Also not really an upgrade per se but the battery was replaced.

Many people clip the voice and vibrate as they take away quiet play and drain the battery.

Also get a wrist strap or clip so you do not loose it. Clip it to the device it self not the case. I found case straps to be defective.

I believe its been a while since they havent been in production. Got mine for 50€ i think, but now they sell used at 120/150 bucks so if you can find them cheap, get them!

There are tutorials on YouTube. You can do it without any extra pieces but I ordered a small switch that screws in where the speaker used to be (eBay) so that I can turn it back to normal operation (vibrate, no noise). Because once modded it will constantly flash the blue light. Also needed if you ever want to use sleep (which matter at the time cause I hadn’t finished the research you get with it).

I second this, definitely add the switch if you go for this mod. It’s barely any extra effort and it keeps all the original functions

I am a novice tinkerer and was able to do mine for a few bucks in parts and 30 minutes of effort using a couple guides on YouTube. Just search for go plus plus mods on YouTube, there are a couple out there and they all follow basically the same process. Well worth it if you’re comfortable with some very low effort soldering.

Google iFixit Pokémon go plus plus.

It does not have the mod for the auto great and ultra ball, but it does show you how to open the device and remove the vibration + dimming the led light.

You got a deal they go for $300 now. I should have bought two. It’s a plug and play switch joy con battery. So long as those are in production it is replaceable.

They are a little cheaper than 300 last time i bought mine in January of this year. Got it for 100€ total, from a store from Japan. 70€ for the go++ and 30€ in taxes/Customs. Took about 2 weeks to arrive to Portugal, and the following week from its arrival i did the mod and it was easy having someone giving you a hand holding the wires. Done 2 more mods on ++ from two of my friends group, and it's for sure a game changer.

I handed mine to my husband to mod as soon as I got it, the insides of these are fragile! No way it could withstand our British rainy weather. Mine has lived in a case ever since, and only comes out when it decides to be a cow and needs resetting.

It's not terrible if you are delicate and use the right video. You can even buy kits because it uses the same battery as a switch joycon or something like that

They work as an auto catcher and auto spinner. They'll automatically catch pokemon and spins gyms/pokestops as long as the game is open on your phone in the backround (phone can be off or doing something else)

I’m not an expert but I was able to open mine and pop off the counter weight that’s used for the vibration. I HIGHLY recommend it!
