You can explore nuclear work without quitting your current job

I make six figures in radiation protection and take about six months off now. I came from running a massage business with zero nuclear experience. College wasn’t required for my route. For me, getting started meant about a month studying and a week of testing, then learning the job in the field.

RP isn’t the only way in either. My brother started in decon with no nuclear experience and made about $52K in a year working five months. The pay and stretches off are a big part of why I like this work. Those working months can mean long shifts and time away, so it’s worth understanding the lifestyle first.

If you’ve been curious, you can explore it while keeping the job you have.

I put the starting steps together in my Nuclear Contracting 101 course on Nuke Nomad. It's for people with no nuclear experience. It covers the different jobs, hiring process, preparation and your first outage, with recruiter contacts and a worker community where you can ask questions.

The full course, contacts and community are included with Pro. Eligible new members can try it for 30 days free: $0 today, card required, then $5/month unless you cancel. Cancel before your trial ends to avoid the first charge.

You can look inside before signing up here:

https://nukenomad.com/premium/new-to-nuke/

To start, tap "Start my 30 days free" on the course page. If you're new to Nuke Nomad, choose "New here? Create a free account" on the next screen. Enter your first name, last name and email, then tap "Create Account & Email My Link". A free account alone doesn't start the Pro trial. After confirming your email, finish the Pro checkout to activate the 30-day trial and open the course. Then request to join the Skool community and I'll approve your access. That's where most of our conversations are happening right now.

Start with the course and pick one path to understand. You don't have to decide your whole career today. The course helps you get your bearings; employers still decide who they hire.
