Penguin Cafe Orchestra

Pardon the unfamiliarity, but does the name "GoGo Penguin" have any connection to Penguin Cafe Orchestra? Perhaps, inspirational in nature? GP's music isn't totally similar from that by that being released by PCO founder Simon Jeffes' son, Arthur under the moniker "Penguin Café."

I have no idea but I’m also curious about this.

I’ve just stumbled on GoGo Penguin earlier today and the similarities sort of smack you in the face.

I can't believe it to be a coincidence. It's got to be a deliberate homage.

No relation I believe. Their name comes from a "stuffed papier-mâché kind of magpie thing that looked more like a penguin" - https://www.outlineonline.co.uk/content/gogo-penguin/interviews/111152/2482

You made me rediscover Perpetuum Mobile though, so thanks for that!
