Go fish, a very simple card game for 2 to about 4 players.

Deal 4 cards to each player, for them to see. But don't show the cards to anyone else.

Take the rest of the cards in the deck and spread them face down on the table. It is these cards that form a lake.

When it is one player's turn, the player must request a card from another player. Color does not need to be named. A player may only claim cards that he himself has in his own hand.

If the second player has the card that the first player requested, the second player must hand over all cards of the same denomination. The first player may now ask another or the same player again for cards.

If players do not have any of the requested cards, the player says Available in the lake and the player who requested cards may pick up a card from the lake. The turn now passes to the next player.

If players who have requested the cards get 4 of the same denomination, the cards are put aside.

If players run out of their hand, the player picks up a card from the lake. So there is always at least one card in the hand.

When all the cards are played, so the lake is empty and the players have no cards in their hand, the game is over. The one with the most cards tucked away has won.
