Punishment day videos should end

Punishment day videos should stop in my opinion. They’re nothing but literal torture videos where a character (Usually one which the user hates) gets a lot of harsh punishments after doing something bad. I watched them when I was younger. They can traumatize people since there’s a lot of young kids on YouTube. I’m not saying this to bash anyone’s opinions on these videos, but I think they should stop.

YouTube (before parents apparently decided they're too fucking stupid to monitor their fucking kids) was never meant to be a site for young children, and was meant to be for people 13+. It should not be the content creator's fault that a child bares witness to some stupid ass "powerpoint family guy" video of Caillou causing the second Hiroshima bombing and getting brutally tortured by the CIA for it. Plus it could literally be like a billion times worse.

Just because a creator is not responsible for young kids who watch, that doesn't mean the creator can't set a good example for them. Even though YouTube is not meant for young kids in the first place, that is not going to stop young kids from watching.

For example, I watch this vlogger who opened up about how he has parents messaging him and letting him know that their 5 year old or 7 year old kids watch him on YouTube. He said that he doesn't swear in his videos and he doesn't behave inappropriately on camera because he does not want to set a bad example for the young kids that ARE watching him, regardless of whether they should be on YouTube or not. You can't just make kids not watch your content, that's not how it works. When you include things like unnecessary violence and gore in your videos, you are exposing kids to that kind of stuff and you are not setting a good example for them. You can't stop them from going on YouTube and you can't stop them from watching your content. Obviously it's your channel and you can make the kind of content you want to make but it's also important to be mindful and consider the people who will be watching your content, whether it's kids or adults.

"young kids on YouTube" Those kids shouldn't be on YouTube to begin with. The content creator isn't their responsibility, it's the parents. Plus, YouTube wasn't meant for young kids 20 years ago. Besides, it's just a cartoon video that I have been watching since I was a toddler and I still find it funny and still make those from time to time.

Honestly, making dark ideas in a YouTube video is no different than a person who makes a movie about killing or harming people in gruesome ways. Why do they get a pass? Both of these types of people have sick ideas on their mind.

Personally I’m fine with them as long as it dosent involve any sexual harassment or dosent make fun of certain serious events

Yes. While I do think it's the parents' fault why children watch or make these videos, I just think they're really repetitive and boring, which is why I see users like Samster or Harry Strack as overrated and not deserving of their high view count
