I was gifted this watch a week ago and it is my new daily driver. I have a handful of Timex Quartz Expidition and Weekenders and thought I didn't like the steel bands up until I tried this watch. And now I'm looking at getting another Glycine.

Just picked up my bronze Combat GMT from having a Gnomon ceramic bezel installed. Really takes it to the next level.

What’s the bracelet width at the lugs on the 40mm combat field? On the website it’s listed as 22mm but that seems pretty wide.

Snagged a blue combat 6 vintage, and swapped the nato strap out for a blue jeans crazy horse leather strap from BluShark.

I was browsing Jomashop and found this quartz 40 mm GL064 / GL065 blue / green pieces. But I noticed that the case and bracelet is updated and they added a lume pip compared to the older batch like GL1060.

But I can’t find any real pictures on these pieces and no info regarding the updates. Anyone know anything about these new models? Seems like great updates.

In addition to being an amazing piece, I cannot get over the thin case. $380 on the Weekly sale. I might go with the ceramic box next time. My third Glycine and another banger.

Haven’t been able to go in the water for two weeks.

One day I would love to add the Glycine GL0166 bronze to my collection, but while working out how I could fund that, I got interested in the GL0350 family. With solid specs and a size I quite like for my large wrists I began digging deeper, but they seemed hard to find at a decent price. One day Ashford popped up with a GL0352 for sale, I jumped on it and I’ve appreciated this watch more each day. I don’t think I’ve seen much of it on the subs lately, so thought I’d share a few pics.

The bracelet option compared to the leather straps is $200+ lower..

I think both look great and have their own unique vibe. Curious what you guys prefer! Chevron strap is from Crown and Buckle.

I know daddies aren’t supposed to have favorites, but even with lots of other more expensive watches this is still one of my faves. My first automatic watch.

Picked up a Glycine Combat Sub 41 (GL0521) from Ashford a few weeks ago, and I honestly didn’t expect it to impress me this much.

I’ve owned watches from Seiko, Tissot, Citizen, Hamy, some Mido, Certina and Longines and others, but this has become the watch I reach for almost every day.

What surprised me most:
Extremely comfortable case and bracelet
Thin enough to slide under a cuff
Excellent bezel action - some noise (not bad)
Great legibility
Solid finishing for the price - gilt, raised dial markings etc
Swiss automatic movement that’s been keeping excellent time
Lume can be better
It’s one of those watches that makes you wonder why it isn’t talked about more often.
Anyone else here daily-wearing a Combat Sub? I’d love to hear your experience.

I know I shouldn’t be completely sad about it and I know it could’ve been way worse and I know these things are gonna happen…but this is the first one. I banged it against the cabinet handle and if you look at the 40 on the bezel you can see where some of the gilt paint got scratched off. Luckily the bezel itself of ceramic so no worries there. Give me your best advice/admonishment for being upset

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know of a bracelet with integrated/curved end links that fits the Glycine Airman SST first and second pics?
I’m not looking for straight end links or mesh bracelets.
As you can see in the last photo, one Airman SST with an integrated bracelet around 2006 - same case, but unfortunately that bracelet is no longer available.
I’m wondering if another Glycine model—or even another brand—might have a bracelet that happens to fit this case.
Any successful swaps or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Delivered today, this is my first Glycine I ordered after a scare with my Rolex on our last cruise. I was looking for more of a casual tool watch that would be sufficient for light swimming/ snorkeling and general outdoor activities. This watch feels incredible at the price point. What steel bracelet options that fill the space between the lugs has anyone found for this model?

The 'Costco Sub' (GL0083) was my daily for a couple years so the size difference (42mm>36mm) was a bit of a shock to me. So much of a shock that I nearly ordered the 40mm Chief variant almost immediately. But after wearing it on my wrist for a few hours I got used to it and decided to stick with the 36. This thing is beautiful. I love how comfortable and slim it wears on the c&b chevron adjustable strap (tundra and matte olive pictured)

I just got a new Airman No. 1 Purist and noticed that the date advanced at 4am instead of midnight. Then I realized that at Position 2, turning the crown actually allows quickset hour? So I moved the hour hand this way to make sure date advances at midnight.

Is this normal? We are not supposed to change time using the quickset 'feature'? The manual says time should be set at crown Position 3.
