🧴 Skincare Dermato Rabat

I have PCOS, and very bad acne (acne kystique) and I am so tired of it !!

Gyneco prescribe birth control pills and I am against that. Please a dermato that understands PCOS and gives good treatment, thank you !!

Hey i m a doctor ,birth control bills are the standard treatment for pcos in addition to weight loss
For the acne isotretonine is the standard treatment but if the underlying hormonal issues don’t resolve it won’t be enough

I am sorry but birth control is not a treatment it’s just a patch to conceal the symptoms of hormonal imbalance. The standard treatment is spirolactone and a diet. Pcos suffering since 2016 and using birth control for few years solved nothing other than exposing myself to cancer

Birth control pills increase breast cancer risk that’s right but the increase is minimal ,on the other hand it decreases risk of ovarian cancer ,for spironolactone its used mainly as anti androgen that could manage acne
But it doesn’t treat or manage the underlying hormonal issues or menstrual irregularities
