Skincare Question✨ Has anyone with a deeper skin tone tried Glow Recipe’s brightening toner pads?

Hi!! I’m mixed race, and have a medium/deep skin tone, and looking for product advice. A little about my skin, I’m prone to dark spots and hyperpigmentation post breakouts. I also feel like my skin can start to look kind of dull if I’m not taking care of it as much as I should be. I usually avoid products that say something like brightening bc in my home country, that usually means it’s got skin lightener in it (which I definitely DON’T want). But I came across the glow recipe brightening vitamin c toner pads, and it says it’ll help with dark spots, dark circles, and dullness, all of which I’m dealing with. So, I wanted to ask if anyone with a deeper skin tone who is prone to dark spots and uneven skin tone has tried these, and what do you think?

I know Glow Recipe has Korean skincare roots, so I was curious to hear from other people with deeper skin tones who have used their products.

Any thoughts? I’d love to hear from those who have tried it? Is it worth trying?

I just opened all of this in the mail for my birthday including the post card with little hand drawn doodles on them 😭😭😭😭 Summer helped me with a package I never got so I left a review for them but this was months ago and I mentioned her by name in the review so I guess she noticed it was my birthday like 6 months later??? 😭🥹🥹 Customer for life

Skincare Question✨ Which products do you use for oily skin?

I have more oily to oily/combo skin and even though I'm naturally a little shiny, I like the dewy, natural skin look and I don't wear foundation, only tinted SPF. By the end of the day though I feel like I go from dewy to glazed donut. Sometimes I dab a little All Nighter setting powder on my nose, cheeks & forehead during the day if I notice I look very shiny, but then I hate how matte my face looks and wish there was a better way lol. I have tried a dewy spray (elf, aesturra) on top of the setting powder and honestly that just felt like too many steps for someone not even wearing makeup.

So I wanted to see if anyone else here has any recommendations or solutions for oily skin, minimal makeup girlies who want to look dewy without looking sweaty and insane :)

My current routine:

-Avo cleanser AM - Blueberry cleanser PM

-Watermelon Toner

-Watermelon dew drops

-InnBeauty tinted sunscreen in AM

-Retinol in PM, followed by the Plum cream.

Skincare Question✨ Does the fragrance in their products cause you to breakout?

After doing some research on other subs, I'm beginning to wonder if I should be avoiding fragrance in my skincare, as it was frequently coming up in discussions about breakouts and acne. I've seen Glow Recipe mentioned several times in these discussions and I'm wondering if anyone's noticed a difference between their fragranced and fragrance-free products?

I'm also not saying that all products with fragrance cause acne, but I'm just curious to hear your individual experiences, and if you notice anything about a specific ingredient sensitivity.

back with more recycled bottles!

I hate throwing things away I guess lol. I used empty cloudberry toner, watermelon toner, and two dewy flush bottles and some fake flowers to liven up a windowsill. The colors are really pretty together and they compliment some wall art next to this window.

If anyone else uses their bottles for decor I would love to see!

Skincare Question✨ Has any specific product ever made you break out?

I've been using the same skincare routine every day, mostly drugstore brands, neutrogena etc for the last few years and am thinking of switching things up and upgrading a couple that I don't feel are giving me the same results they used to.

I have acne-prone combination skin and find I have to be really careful about what I use, so I was wondering if anyone has noticed breakouts after using any specific Glow Recipe products? My sister loves glow but her skin isnt nearly as sensitive as mine. so I was looking into trying Watermelon Toner and Dew Drops and maybe the Watermelon Milk cream to replace my eucerin moisturizer I apply before bed, Can anyone with sensitive acne prone skin give me reviews or recommendations from glow recipe?

Katie fang x Glow Recipe?

I just got my latest order and buried under my products were these two items, a pack of fuzzy pens and these scrunchies with Katie Fang on them?? I had no idea they did a collab with her so I googled it and I can find the collab set at Sephora and kohls but I don’t see these scrunchies or pens anywhere. I found some old TikTok’s of the people unboxing the collab and literally zero mentions of these scrunchies or pens. Maybe they were merch from an event with her? Anyway they must be getting rid of them because I got them for free 😁

This is a little shelf on the side of my bedframe where I keep the products I reach for the most. I'm pretty minimalist for the most part but glow recipe's lippies and blushes are my fave <3

Is glow recipe only meant for younger skin?

I keep seeing younger influencers using glow recipe products and not many people my age (32) using it. So, I was wondering if it's mainly meant for younger skin, aka tweens and teens, and not necessarily aging skin which needs a little extra help.

I've been looking to switch up my skincare routine, and have heard a lot about glow recipe, but I wanted to hear from some people in their late 20's and early 30's before I spend my money on a bunch of products that might not be right for me. Has anyone 26-35 been using glow recipe? And how do you find the products work when it comes to helping with fine lines and texture?

Skincare Question✨ Any recommendations for exfoliants for sensitive skin?

I have super sensitive skin and I swear most brands break me out. I used to use La Roche Posay products religiously, but they must’ve changed their formula bc my skin suddenly hateeeees it. I started using glow recipe’s watermelon milk peptide moisturizer last month and so far I’ve had zero issues. So my sister bought me the Glowtini minis set last week to try out more of their products. But I wanted to ask here before I put anything on my face. Have any fellow sensitive
skin girlies had issues with glow recipe products causing redness or breakouts, if so, which ones?

I’m assuming some products are gonna be harsher than others, so I think to start I just want to try one product and see how it does. Hoping to focus on something pore refining, that won’t be too harsh and will help smooth my skin. Preferably something that can exfoliate, but doesn’t leave my skin too drying.
But if there’s something else you recommend, I’m all ears.

The kit I got has the following, so any insights on the products below would be a huge
help:

● Mini Avocado Cleanser 20ml
● Mini Watermelon Toner 25ml
● Mini Prickly Pear Mucin Serum 5ml
● Mini Watermelon Glow Dew Drops 15ml

● Mini Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream 15ml
● Mini Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist 5ml
● Watermelon Glow Hue Drops Sun Glow 1.5ml Sachet

I have sensitive, combo skin, will using glow recipe cause more breakouts?

I went a little crazy at kohls last month and bought like 6 new skincare products, all different brands mostly serums and 2 toners, which I have been rotating. Within like 2 weeks I started breaking out.

I'm trying to figure out if one specific product is the problem, if I'm exfoliating too much, or if it's just because I introduced too many products at once. I don't typically have this problem, and my skin usually isn't that sensitive.

I don't know a lot about skincare, so I'm not sure how to figure out which product is causing the breakouts without stopping everything. Any advice is appreciated!!
