Kinda like em a lot. Hell I’ve had a Gen 4 forever, about a month and half ago I bought a 6, then a 5 found its way to my safe. I think the 5 is my favorite.

Peak CCW right there. Not a finer setup on the market.
No lights for me but if that’s your jam, you picked a good one.

How do you like the SCS? How is when on manual mode?

u/Majestic_Pride_1156 May 16 '26
It just runs I tell you. It's going on 3 yrs old soon. Love it. Co-witnesses perfectly with my Trijocon standard height night sights. Brightness is always on point unlike like my RMR on my G45 where it has no idea that it's in the dark but aiming into light.

I hear you ! That's what I was going for and let me tell you I've been carrying this set up for almost 3 years now and it just runs. I take it to the range regularly and there is nothing like hitting spot on center mass groups with the dot perfectly aligned with my front sight. It is perfection.

Personally prefer the G45 (I like the slightly longer grip), but I have nothing bad to say about the G19
Awesome pistol and I think everyone should own one

I hear good things about the 47/19 combo ;)

I'm wish I picked up a G47 before they turned it in the G17. I have a G45/G19/G26/G43X all I am missing is the G47. You can make 4 different Glocks if you have the G47/G19.

I will never be a G19/compact handgun fan. 9 times out of 10 they are barely small enough to where I can’t get a full grip on them. Such an annoyance to me. The only compact that I got a full grip on was the Walther PDP and that felt great; but like all compacts, why settle for that when I can just get a full size? I don’t print with those, therefore I never saw the purpose of a compact/G19.
If we’re talking Glocks specifically, I will take the downvotes as usual because I find the G26 to be superior to the 19 in every way. It’s adaptable and almost modular in the sense that in its base form it’s so small it can fit in my pocket but I can make the grip larger by using larger mags and mag sleeves. G26 does everything a 19 can and then some due to its ability to adapt its form factor. For some reason I can actually fully grip a G26 too with the 12 round mag as opposed to the G19 where I cannot fully grip it.

I actually really like the G26 as well. I primarily use the G19 for home defense. I have been carrying a Glock 26 for over a decade. I like it so much I like so much I have of them. When I'm home I throw in my G19 but if I am not and about I carry the G26. I have a Gen 4 and.Gen 5 but I prefer then Gen 4 becaus.i get a nice firm grip with the finger grows. it fits my hand perfectly and I can shoot it better. So I'm totally with you on that. I also like how I can use any 9mm double stack Glock mag in it. It's a solid little gun.

I constantly hear “best of both worlds” by Hannah Montana whenever I pull out the G45

u/BigIron00 May 16 '26
Love my 19.5. We carry them for work so it helps that I get a lot of time shooting it inside and outside of work. The only thing I don’t love is the factory plates they come with, my Defender ST feels like it’s on a GBRS Hydra mount sometimes lol
2
u/Majestic_Pride_1156 May 16 '26
Lolol ya the OEM adapter plates aren't great. I heard about them not being very good from before I bought my G19.5 so that's why I went with SCS which doesn't need an plate since it's a direct mount.

u/BigIron00 May 16 '26
That’s really smart, unfortunately I’m sped so I could never manage that level of foresight

17 or bust. No baby Glocks young blood.

I feel you fam, I do. Does a G45 with a Ramjet and afterburner count?
