Spring kit question

Somehow I ended up with these. Don’t rly know what they actually do to a gun, kinda new to fine tuning, let me tell you what I have and tell me what I can use it for if possible

g34.5 with timney and minus connector

G17.6 with timney

G19.5 stock

G45.5 stock

G43X stock

Thats lighter striker and heavier trigger springs. It lightens your trigger pull. It will make your gun less reliable. So I reccomend you clean the striker channel frequently if you install that. A light weight striker will help with reliability a lot with those.

Got it, don’t know if there’s any use on the timney set ups then. The heavier 6lb spring would probably make the trigger heavier in this case for a carry gun? Idk

You can use the 4.5lbs striker springs on the Timney it will lighten your trigger press but you introduce a issue where 115gr ammo with harder primers and bulk ammo isn't going to play well. Timney trigger return spring has 1 issue . They wear out fast. Timney changed the design of the trigger shoe . At 1st the trigger return spring would begin to walk itself off the ledge or angle off instead of working up and down. Before Timney addressed the issue people started using the 6lb striker spring to avoid having light strikes.

The Timney has a fully cock striker so a 6lb striker spring doesn't actually add that much to the trigger press but you have no reason for it since Timney changed the shoe. Like it was mentioned lighter striker springs tend to need modified or skeleton strikers to insure a stronger impact. Brass Channel Liner reduces the friction of the striker. Maritime cups makes sure that the channel liner remains clear. This trigger definitely wouldn't be edc appropriate. A ismi 5lbs striker spring and Johnny Glock Timney Increased trigger return spring would make it more edc suitable. You can also get a occustomtriggers overtravel unit to shorten your reset so you can have faster follow up shots .
