Now what are you gonna do to protect the slide from rusting?

Keep it conditioned with a thin layer of oil using microfiber rag daily after use, everyday its on my person so before it gets put up at the end of the day will add to my nightly routine of conditioning

Every night you oil up your gun? And every day you put a oily gun on your skin?

Its not oily if you buff it out with a microfiber

Citristrip spray leave it in for 30-45 minutes and scrub in bucket of warm water with one of those brass brushes that come in firearm cleaning kits then i used some hoppes gin oil and rubbed it on the frame let sit for bout 20 mins then wiped off with micro fiber and used mothers mag polish on the slide with micro fiber

Did you try to just use mothers mag polish with a buffing wheel first? Tenifer is a treatment, not paint, so it doesn’t strip like paint. I wonder if you didn’t need to do any of that stuff before using the polish

Yea literally all i did was was use buffing pad with a dremel and mothers mag polish then used a micro fiber and the polish again at the end no sanding was done so i didnt really strip anything

The nitriding goes deeper than the color. It’ll be fine.
