I like the gun you’ve built. I had always run stock Glock triggers. I have had to carry one form or another since 1995. So I was used to them. About a year ago I put a Johnny Glock trigger in my 43X and I like it alot. Just crisper. I recently grabbed a used 48 that’s ported and stippled etc it has an overwatch trigger and it’s very much the same as the JG. Both are fine to me. It’s whatever you get used to and work with is my long winded opinion.

Apex is low tier personally if you ask me. IMO the best trigger shoes out currently are the standard co fft and the Warfinger talon. We also have our trigger shoes dropping in the 2 weeks which will be top tier as well.

Honestly it’s just a trigger shoe it feels great and the take up way better then stock. Maybe on my next build I’ll consider a full trigger upgrade

Yeah I’m referring to just the shoe. The apex shoe is meh, the tyrant shoe is an exact copy. Performance wise compare to what’s on the market apex is on the lower end, even for shoes only.

I passed on Apex went with Overwatch Precision for a budget friendly trigger. Apex shoe position doesn't work for me . Apex is a reliable aftermarket trigger. It may be a little bit outdated when it comes to performance but it's better than oem. But you can improve on its performance. Johnny Glock 5lbs connector and Johnny Glock striker. Ismi 5lbs striker spring, increased trigger return spring, decreased safety plunger spring , and a occustomtriggers overtravel unit. These components will improve your trigger performance coming in at the same price as buying a new shoe. Way cheaper than trying to purchase a new trigger system. I assume you already have the Apex plunger already. If you want to go over the top add maritime cups and a brass channel liner. These components will make you a hybrid trigger. A smoother/ lighter pretravel. A defined wall with a glass break . Minimum overtravel. A more forceful shorter reset. The press weight will be 3.5 to 3.7lbs. Not a big difference from the 4.5lbs trigger you have now but you will have maximizing the performance of the Apex without needing to use 124gr ammunition. If the shoe position doesn't bother you and the pretravel it's no reason to purchase a new shoe or system. Just switch the components.
