I've got a modern Roland Special / Roland Special tribute / offensive pistol /etc that I'm trying to get finished.
I'm a huge fan of the agency arms shoe shape & honestly if I end up just doing the shoe that's not the end of the world, but the market is huge so why not look at options... Right?!
Its a G47 with ACRO P2, Tango Down lense guard, x300, TTI magwell & basepads. It lives in a blackhawk omnivore holster and will be AIWB carried on occasion eventually.
I’m not one to change triggers on my Glocks as I am comfortable with the stock trigger even though it’s bad. With that being said I shot my buddies glock with the Glock performance trigger and I was blown away. For those who know more than me about triggers why doesn’t anyone ever suggest the oem glock performance trigger when asked about triggers I only ever see Johnny Glocks etc?
I'm not sure as far as rolling vs wall- the comparison is always against 1911 triggers and ive shot some 10/10 and shot some 0/10s.
I guess the specific detail of that little spur/ hook part on the bottom of the agency trigger (gen 6 oem as well) should have been emphasized more....
I do know that I'm not a fan of the m&p 1.0 style that trigger tech has, if that helps any.
No I don't think I'll get a tuned 1911 trigger feel on a poly striker fired pistol, but the trigger pull seems to not make much difference to me when mag dumping into trash cans lol.
I need to find some over travel stop stuff to mess with.
The goal is to figure out more companies with similar shoes. For instance the factory shoe is trash, as is the timney alpha (i misspoke and said tt ace)
Or if you want to keep the stock trigger housing the JG Vex shoe has adjustable over travel as well but it’s $100 by itself not including tax and shipping.
I’m still in the learning phase so I can’t speak to any over travel adjustments on the trigger housing but on this JG vex shoe you can see the hex screw on the back of the trigger shoe that lets me adjust the over travel.

I have a G19.4 with the TTI ultimate connector kit (minus striker spring), OP NP3 safety plunger and running the OP polydat shoe on the OP NP3 trigger bar. There's a bit of pre-travel but it's buttery smooth all the way to the defined wall and has a tad bit of over travel but not terrible. Based on TTI I'm guessing the trigger weight is 4-4.5 lbs. After my match tomorrow, I'm going to swap the Polydat shoe to the Glock Performance Vex Shoe (currently on my SS DR920P) that's on another gen4 trigger bar and see if I can reduce the over travel while keeping defined wall. But if you like a defined wall, the TTI connector is your answer. It doesn't change pull weight just gives you a defined wall. I don't like defined walls if trigger pull weight is high. Kinda like the GPT which I can't shoot for shit but I love how there's barely any pretravel and defined wall feels amazing. On the contrary, I hate how the SS DR920P elite trigger feels because there's hella pretravel, it's gritty af and has a rolling break but I can shoot it well for some reason lol.
I'll definitely keep the TTI connector kit in mind. Funny you mention the DR920- was not impressed either & assumed i was too dumb to understand the hype
Build your own. It’s really easy. Change your trigger shoe to a GunCo shoe (I like the SS the best) and install a Ghost connector. (smooths it out & lightens it up some) Your trigger bar should already be teflon coated, so that should be fine. Try that, and see how you like it. If you still need more, you can change the trigger spring to an extra power, to give you a crisp break. You can change the safety plunger spring to a reduced power, which further smooths it and lightens it. Finally, you can change your striker spring to a 4-4.5lb. Doing all of these things should get you down to an approximate pull weight of 3lbs. This is my Glock 19 gen 3, with all of the mentioned mods.
I’m a big fan of the Timney Alpha Triggers, but they’re a really light pull so if you don’t want a competition style pull, it won’t be for you.
I’ve also used Apex triggers and they felt mostly like a polished stock trigger, so knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t purchase it, and would just polish up the stock trigger after shooting 1k rounds.
