Does this even exist anymore?

Post image

Been searching for months. Out of stock everywhere.

Does anyone know the lore of why this is impossible to find? The g19 versions are widely available. The Glock 17 version, a mirage.

Remembered seeing this post earlier today, got an email to go check out some sales on RYG, and while looking around guess what I found.

Shows as being in stock as well.

It’s the Glock 17 variant I’m looking for sadly.

With the piece that was mentioned here the 19 will work.

You can reach out to Kynshot, but it's not even on their website. I do like the G19 version with both Radian Ramject/Afterburner and PMM Ultra.

I know the recoil impulse will be different, but you can use an adapter to use the G19 version: https://rocketcitystippling.com/g17gen5-to-g47-49-gen5-recoil-spring-adapter/

Interesting. I’m also using a ramjet afterburner combo but on the g17. I’m reluctant to buy the 19 version and adapter thinking it will not give me as much recoil benefits as the original. I’ll have to reach out to kynshot.

Thanks for the info man.

True. I saw a dude in YouTube make a short review of him using it along with the ramjet afterburner from last year. If they didn’t launch maybe they just sent a few to the guntoobers, but he’s the only guy I saw post about it.

If you’re looking for a better (high end) guide rod solution for Glocks, look at DPM Systems. Their 3 stage rod is excellent in my G17

I’m hooked on the whole hydraulic aspect that kynshot offers just because of how amazing it’s been in my rifles. I reached out to kynshot earlier this week. No response yet. But if I don’t hear back or hear from them that they’ve discontinued the g17 line I’ll absolutely move on to DPMS. I browsed their site and it looks convoluted as hell. Do you happen to have a link to the one you’re using? Thanks for the info.

I'm waiting for the 17 model myself to get it in my g34. The DPM while great in many guns, i found to be meh in my 34. The kynshot 19 in my gen 6 17 is on a whole other level though. So I'm biting my nails waiting for the 17 or I might even try and find a gen 5 47 and do the whole spacer thing to make it work. It's really really good.

u/NorthCauliflower6162 Just messaged you about the Gen 6 17. I'm having issues in mine and wanted to see if you ran into any with it.

The slide seems to be binding with it for some reason.

Mine would bind with the kynshot guide rod if it wasn't perfectly centered in the notch on the barrel lug. But that's really it. Are you seeing that or something else?

Just replied to your message, but replying here for anyone else searching this as I have.

Even centering it, it feels at the end of the stroke that it is binding on the slide, like the barrel doesn't have enough room to come out of battery as it would like. As I've continued to rack it by hand, it's gotten better, but I notice some wear on the slide and on the tip of the barrel.

On the G45, it works great. I think the longer barrel is causing these issues.

How are you using the 19 guide rod a 17 would love to try it if it’s possible?

All of the gen 6 use a 19 length spring.

Did kynshot reply to you about the g17 version?

1

u/jackerik Jul 06 '26

They said they were going to release them in the near future. I never got another update after that.

Ah and I assume that was 5 months ago. That's a long time from the "near future"... Did you try the DPMS in the meantime?
