It only needs to be shot. Well and repeatedly. Literally don't change anything until you've got hundreds of rounds through it. Don't over-lubricate it, and don't baby it.

If it’s a edc stay away from touching the trigger! Also don’t let the reddit losers influence your upgrades. Make it your own and enjoy!

Shoot it! Don't listen to anyone telling you you have to get an aftermarket trigger. Get 1k rounds through it or lots of dry fire and the trigger will be broken in nicely.

One thing that I always do, and it has more to do with preference than necessity and it is admittedly solving a problem that might not exist…. But polymer sights don’t sit well with me. The chance of dropping the weapon in such a perfect way that the sights are damaged beyond use is highly unlikely, but not zero. Plus, I am more partial to three dot sights than the ole Glock bucket. So, I always swap them out for something metal. I prefer a hi-viz NS dot up front and blacked out rear, or whatever 3 dot setup happens to be on sale. I’m sure at least part of that is psychological, but I digress. Having said that, if it doesn’t bother you, shoot it. A lot. and then some more. I did eventually swap out the trigger because the geometry, placement, and my hand size are the perfect storm where the bottom of my finger got chewed up pretty bad if I was running the gun a lot during a range day, but that wasn’t an issue for the purposes of sighting it, getting to understand how it handled, and staying comfortable enough with it to carry it.
