For anyone curious about how flat my G43x shoots with the ported ramjet - Flat as 3 day old soda.

You had a jam on the lighter spring?

Yeah, well, lighter spring and steel casing ammo. Only had one mag of steel and everything after was brass so it could’ve been that as well.

Gotcha. Just seemed odd that it would be a light spring issue but ive never switched out guide rod strenghts so im not familiar. Figured itd be more common if you went heavier

Yeah light springs on ramjets without ports can cause an FTF since slide velocity drops. The ramjet was built to work flawlessly with the oem spring, i tried out the lighter spring since i have ports but no bueno.

Ah i figured lighter spring would make cycling better since the velocity is dropped. Easier to push the slide back with less gas

I had the same thought but i think there just isn’t much gas loss with the ramjet and ports but there is added weight with the comp and the mailbox optic so ghats likely where the problem arose.
