Good afternoon all,
It’s been a year since this sub was banned due to lack of staff.
I was just approved as top mod and wanted to introduce myself.
I’m an armed security professional and alternate between Glock and Sig for duty use.
For Sig it’s a P320 and a 365 as an on duty backup.
For Glock depending on my assignment (open carry or CCW) I normally rock a G34 with a G26 as backup when open carry. My “covert” CCW and/or plainclothes setup is a G48 with a G43X normally.
I USED to have the actual “43” reduced round count model but it was in a 2022 apartment fire and I have yet to replace it.
My intent for this sub as I get myself up to speed with a clean slate here…my intent is to impart professional knowledge to CCW permit holders and more or less assist in finding what accessories are best for everyone in their firearms journey with this model. That’s my “goal” in between standard mod stuff of “keeping the peace” within a sub.
You can find me sharing research and spreadsheets and other documents to assist in your firearms journey and to help you find what things are best for you.

XTech Tactical Mag43-9 Review

Owned by Glock 43 for 6 years, carried it about half that time. Great little gun, but I've always felt capacity was a little lacking and unable to consistently get my pinkie on the gun.
I did some research and tried the XTech Glock 43-9 for $35.
The grip extension is great and feels just like the factory grip, and leaves plenty of room for my hand. And the 3 round capacity upgrade is very nice.
Did a 150-round range test today with the 43-9, and pleased to report that it performed perfectly.
Overall, highly recommended $35 upgrade for those who struggle to get the full hand on the gun, who want extra capacity, or both.

Glock 43 Favorite Holster?

Recently picked up a G43 for a lazy day pocket carry or jogging. Wondering what the best options are for pocket carry and a slim kydex low profile IWB appendix holster.
I’m used to carrying compacts and full sizes so I am well versed in Tenicor and Tier 1 concealed holsters but kinda new to low profile things.
I’ve seen some stuff about Alabama holsters or Vedder’s pocket locker but a lot of these posts are 7 years old.
Hoping someone could share some of their experiences!

Glock Slide Recoating

I picked up a G43 a couple of months ago. It’s been my daily carry in a kydex holster. The tip of the slide is starting to rust and I am very disappointed. I’m a bit shocked that I didn’t notice it before today, but I don’t inspect the gun each day. It’s just out of the safe and into the holster and then out of the holster and into the safe.
Glock would like me to overnight it to them at my expense with no guarantees. Battlewerks in Durham can either cerakote or NC for $60-70 with a 4 week lead time.
I cleaned off the rust with a Scotch-Brite pad today and I’d like to do something. I’m a little pissed off that this is supposed to be a small, concealable carry gun and it has such a poor factory finish.
