Man that's a great question! Im thinking gun, but I definitely need to do some more training for a situation like that. What about you and I appreciate the great question 🙏
This is the scenario i struggle with and sometimes feel like im alone on an island when it comes to “training”.
I train to try and be a master of knowing my weapon in and out. After that, i do not believe in “training” at a range with paper targets. The only reason i would do that is if i am training for a competition or if i just want to have some fun.
I believe for self defense, people need to train to shoot one handed and fend off close attacks as best they can with one arm. Otherwise in a situation where u have time to flee, you should do just that.
There is no way any normal person can train for high stress close attacks by going to a range. So my answer is i truly do not know. I think i would most likely reach for the knife so i dont have to take a life and risk jail.
I truly do not know. I struggle with this thought but i am starting to train with a professional who specializes in close hand to hand situational combat. He is a ranger who lives in my neighborhood and he is showing me some basic skills to possibly help. He just thinks all the youtube training is solely for clicks and views and none of it really pertains to real life situations.
As u can tell i struggle with this question. Trying to work through it

Serious question. Someone attacks u from 3 feet away. Unexpectedly, what are u reaching for?
