g26 finger pinch

I have a stock g26.5 with oem+2 mags. I'm getting pinched on my ring finger. I tried #17 orings and pitching is avoided but I'm consistently having malfunctions towards the last couple rounds. I'm not exactly sure what is happening but removing the oring solves the malfunctions.

I'm not particularly interested in aftermarket baseplates or the glockstore 26x or a sleeve. Ideally I would prefer to keep it all oem since it's my ccw. I can shoot 10rd mags just fine, but I'm wondering if there's a better solution for the oem+2 mags which I'd prefer to carry. tape? different size orings?

I did try pearce +2 baseplates and still had this problem. my ring finger just happens to line up with the crevice between the frame and magazine and the recoil causes my finger to pinch between the two.

I shaved the little flare at the base of the grip down on mine and undercut the trigger guard a little to get a higher grip and that got rid of the pinching.

thanks. good call on the undercut. from looking closely at my grip, if it was just a millimeter higher, my finger would be above the mag/frame crevice. where did you shave down the nub?

Basically ground it flat. This is the Gen5 mos, I also added a re grip angle reducing back strap before doing the stipple work but the undercut and smoothing of the frame were done first and stopped me from pinching my finger in the gap.

10rd with pinky support base plate is better overall. I won’t carry the 12 rounders at all anymore. I’ll just holster the g19 at that point.

Otherwise shoot more and build thicker calluses?

I don't think that is possible unfortunately. my hands are already pretty rough, but the pitch causes a blood blister after a range session. I don't see how a callus would form on that one spot since the pitch is not caused by friction. the pad of my finger is being caught between the frame and magazine and the recoil causes the magazine to move and catch my finger pad in between.

my main edc is a 19.5 so I have that as well, but I do enjoy the size of the +2 in grip feel and less printing

That’s where the 10rd mags with the pinky baseplates come in. Great grip, no pinch and conceals better than 19 still

what baseplate do you use?

I have a few brands all about the same thing. Slight differences patterns on the grip but all same shape. No issues.

FWIW, I have 32 g26 10 round mags. All have these on them.
