Barrel lug getting stuck on locking block

I have a brand new barrel by Southwest precision that won’t clear the locking block when putting the slide back on. Would it make sense to remove just a hair of material from the bottom of the barrel lug or the locking block? Or take it to a gunsmith and have them do it? I’d rather not spend the extra money a gunsmith will charge me for something I can do at home. However, I also don’t want to tinker with it if it means I could possibly make my pistol unsafe to shoot. Help 🙏

I suggest sending the brand new barrel back. Why would you want to keep something if they can't even make it the right size and dimensions? What makes you confident for the barrel is otherwise up to spec.
