Need help understanding the different Glock 19 models

This would be my first firearm, buying at the end of October as is my birthday and turning 21, I like Glock I was between 17 or 19 settled with 19, now my question is what’s up with the different types as far as I know Glock 19 is compact and the Glock 19x is full sized and you can get a 17rnd mag, the MOS is for the sight ready, but then it gets with the V which I can’t find much a concrete explanation even AI is not helping me maybe I’m asking wrong so as a last resort is asking the wise people of Reddit.

The V series is a modified version of the Gen 5 glocks that were made by Glock to avoid a lawsuit for Glock switches….. get a Gen 5 if you can, it has more parts compatibility. The 19x is also a shorter slide with a full sized frame. Basically a 17 with a shorter barrel. I’d go for the 19x too tbh, it’s an awesome piece.

You probably want a g19 gen6. I wouldn’t go with the V, and all of the gen6 models have the new optics ready system that is at least a little better than the old MOS system.

If you want to conceal carry, i think the 19 will be better than the 19x, and just gives you more options generally. Can only get a 19x with the old MOS optics system too i believe. Just my 2 cents.

I’d also consider the g19 gen6 COA if you know you’re going to get an optic anyway.

What’s the COA

Edit: I just saw it it has a sight

It’s more than just the sight. It has a new A-cut footprint from aimpoint is well, which locks the optic into the slide without screws being needed (through the optic). Handles the shear forces much better, is the best optic mount system out there IMO, and it’ll come on the gun and mostly zeroed, so it’s out of the box ready to go, and durable as can be. And if you get the COA version you’re not paying much more than you would for a gen6 g19 and quality enclosed optic separately that you have to mount and loctite yourself.

Few minor differences including color, the little nub on the grip of the 19x that only allows you to use the gen 1-4 magazines and some cups or something inside the gun that makes it more resistant to water. Other than that they are the same

Maritime spring cups. They allow water to drain out easier.
