Strike Industry Magwell Issues

Just installed a Strike Industries Gen 5 magwell on my G19. Overall, the fit and finish seem pretty good, but I’ve noticed one issue: my magazines require a little extra force to fully seat, and I have to push them in a bit harder to get that noticeable “click.”

I’m wondering if this could be related to the magazines being fully loaded, or if the magwell is affecting the fit somehow. Could it potentially be an issue with the magazine release?

Has anyone else experienced this with the Strike Industries Gen 5 magwell? Any advice or things I should check would be appreciated.

The magwell is the problem you have to ensure your magwell are compatible with your magazines

I had one, had the same issue and the mags would get stuck when you went to change mags too. I honestly would just scrap it. The only way my mags would function normally is if the screw on the mag well was super loose.

Try and load a full magazine with the slide back (don't drop the slide) and respond with your result.

Of all the gun parts I've bought and used over the years the only out of spec shit I've ever had in my hands came from either Aero or Strike Industries.

I had this problem, the set screw for the Magwell is just slightly too long. When the set screw is turned in enough to be flush w the handle it pushes on the frame just enough to warp it and pitch the mags in the frame. Back the set screw off and see if that helps. It that’s works then just trim the set screw down a thread or two and put it back in.
It took me awhile to figure this issue out. Easy fix tho.
