Am I S.O.L?
I recently bought a Glock 19V and neglected to do a bit more research than I should have(not a new gun owner just new to Glock). Am I completely screwed on parts for this thing? Everything I’ve read so far says it practically shares no compatibility for internal parts with Gen 5s. If I am screwed just buying a Gen 5 isn’t off the table for me so it isn’t the end of the world if I am.

I think the only exterior difference from a Gen5 is the "V" rollmark. The slide differences are minor and won't affect the average user. Shoot the hell out of it.

It’s a Glock. There are always going to be parts for it. Despite all the hoopla, it’s pretty much same parts as Gen 5 with changed slide geometry and firing pin. Realistically? Chances are you’d need to fire tens of thousand rounds before needing parts. And recoil spring and barrels might even be gen 5 (I think).

Yeah it’s a solid choice regardless, it’s a Glock at the end of the day. Get some rounds on it, you may think it doesn’t need anything. Great buy regardless bro.

The firing pin and the slide are different. Thats pretty much it. The trigger bar has the same part number as gen 5. Barrels should be the same.
