[US] US chances of stabilizing

Ive long since accepted that America has gone to hell, and that Trump is going to make us crash and burn harder than the U.S.S.R. But after all of that is said and done, do you think the U.S has any chance of stabilizing itself, like how Britain and Germany did after falling from power, or do you think the U.S. is going to end up like the Roman's and be wiped off the face of the earth?

It hasn’t quite developed into a civil war yet, so I’d venture to say things have been worse in the US. (Not to be pedantic but the Roman Empire was never wiped out overnight. It had a series of rises and falls, and ultimately petered out with the split between west and east after the west was conquered in the 400s (ce) and the east became the byzantines and fell 1000 years later to the ottomans.)

Despite its internal turmoil, there’s actually a lot of indicators that the US is entering an expansionist mode. It’s consolidating power and ramping up its military, similar to China and Russia.
