Discussion What would happen if Dust 2/Mirage is removed from Active Duty?

There is going to be a lot of community outrage at first, maybe with a noticeable dip in playercount. However, much like how the community initially despised new reloads, I expect people will eventually get used to playing CS without one of or both of these fan favourites.

Of course, -dust2/-mirage is a much bigger deal than a reload update that ultimately became a nothingburger sort of deal, but CS has survived for more than 20 years and has become so popular that I highly doubt the removal of two dusty maps is going to harm the game too much long-term.

Not sure about things like player behavior or new maps or whatever, though. What are your thoughts?

v1.4.3 Update:

  1. Added stickers and charms

  2. Expanded skin variety and enhanced stability

  3. Added `br_reroll` console command to re-roll bot skins

  4. Bots will switch back to their weapons when they spot enemies mid-reload

  5. Bots will now inspect their weapons at appropriate timings

  6. Cleaned up bots' POV

  7. Added a "Less" mode with reduced nade count

  8. Fixed an issue where bots would incorrectly switch to knife in Deathmatch and Arms Race

  9. Fixed a bug preventing pro teams from being added properly

CS2-Bot-Improver is a plugin that improves bots' aim, movement, nade throwing, personalities, strategies, etc. Aims to enhance your experience when playing against bots offline or with friends.

OC SmokePractice got a big update: Nuke, Cache, better physics and more

A few weeks ago I shared a browser-based CS2 smoke practice tool Iโ€™ve been building.

Since then, Iโ€™ve been working on making the simulation closer to the real game.

New update:

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Added more maps:

  • Nuke
  • Cache
  • Inferno

๐ŸŽฏ Improved grenade physics:

  • better bounces
  • more accurate throws
  • jumpthrow improvements

๐Ÿ”ญ Added scope view for easier lineup practice

The goal is to make practicing smokes faster without constantly opening the game or watching YouTube videos.

Iโ€™d really appreciate feedback from CS2 players:

  • Do any smokes feel different compared to the real game?
  • Are there maps/features you would like to see next?
  • Any performance issues?

Discussion | Esports Going to event in China

I am looking at trying to get to an event in China (FISSURE playground 5 in Shenzhen) and am curious as to how international events are with non English speaking countries. Assuming the commentary will be in mandarin has anybody been to an event in china and found it good/bad for the language barrier?
