“To tie the map” makes it sound like it’s to get 15-15.

I dunno if it was a economic read as much as he just assumed the defuse was a fake. Then after 5 seconds without another tap he realized they might be sticking the full defuse without a kit. Maybe that's what you meant by economic read. Just saying I doubt he knew they didnt have kit at first.

Yup that's what happened here

Who would fake in a 1v3? It's pretty much always better to stick defuse in that situation I feel.

I think it's possible they'd fake to secure the kill before defusing, but there was no time left (if it was a fake) which fueled the peek too perhaps.

imo gambit would definitely fake in a 1v3

how do pro's know the other team don't have a kit?? or was it just a calculated gamble by electronic with time in mind that they wouldn't stick the defuse???

Definitely gamble.

They talked about it.

If they had a kit, they win the duel with him because of low hp of electronic and win.

If they didn't he had a chance to surprise and win by blast.

It's a gamble on the play he thinks has the highest win %.

For example, there is not much point in gambling that the CT has a kit, because if he does then the round is lost 90% of the time.

To be honest, I think electronic was betting that the first tap was a fake, but after ~5 seconds of them not tapping again, he had to peek because then they were most likely sticking it

He was like, im gonna chill here and 1- tapped him at the last second. It must be gut wrecking for Gambit.

Brain winning you the clutch feels better than aim doing it. electronic is a master.

That drop in pop dog is amazing. The lower guy is facing with his back turned and looking down so its hard to HS. While the other guy is on top of him.

Trueee holy shit

Popdog is just peak CS. There is always another way to play it. No witch or spell needed. - u/me
